Conditional Use Permit - Kevin & Jill Mohn:
Motion by Nelson, second by Mosher, and unanimously carried to deny a Conditional Use
Permit to bring in fill and sand and perform topographical changes. The reasons for the
denial are as listed in the Planning Commission minutes dated June 14, 2006. The property
is described as Scalp Lake Acres, Lot 8, Section 7 of Hobart Township: Scalp Lake (56-358).
Conditional Use Permit - Otto Township:
Motion by Nelson, second by Lee, and unanimously carried to approve a Conditional Use
Permit to reconstruct a portion of Quiet Waters Road between the channel and Rush Lake
with a condition as recommended by the Planning Commission. The property is located on
Quiet Waters Road between channel and Rush Lake, (Quiet Waters Development) Section
29 of Otto Township: Rush Lake (56-141).

appropriate erosion control measures are implemented. Voting: All members in favor.
Woodlawn Resort / Robert D. & Phyllis Narveson - Approved As Presented:
A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant): Add 12’ x 18’ two
stories high to east side of cottage No. 9 at Woodlawn Resort. Extend deck eastward
across entire 36’ south side, after addition is complete. Present cottage is 24’ x 26’.
Addition will be 51+ feet from Ordinary High Water Line and slightly (± seven tenths of an
inch) ahead of SW corner of neighboring cottage which is approx. 195 ft. to the east and
62’ from OHW line. (62' - 51’ = 11’, 11’ - 195’ = .06 ft. = .72 inches) The property is

Duane R. & Jeanette M. Keeney - Tabled to July 12. 2006:
A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant): Replace an existing
retaining wall. The replacement was originally approved by the Planning Commission on
August 15, 2001; however, the work was never done. The property is described as Pt of
GL 2 ... (.75 AC), Section 11 of Eagle Lake Township; Eagle Lake (56-253), GD.
Motion - May 10. 2005: A motion by Arno, second by Schwartz to table, at the Applicant’s
request, to June 14, 2006 allowing the Applicant to provide an Engineer’s scaled plan of
the project. This plan must include the slopes, water drainage, amount(s) of fill, and an
erosion control plan (Note, the Applicant is encouraged to use as much vegetation as
possible and to reduce impervious surface.) The information must be received by Land &
Resource Management no later than May 26, 2006.
Motion: A motion by Boyer, second by Maske to table to July 12, 2006, as requested in
the Applicant’s letter dated May 24, 2006. Voting: All members in favor.
