We feel very strongly against the construction of a multi-use building on the SE 1/4 of Lot 5 and Lot C of Inglewood at Woodlawn Resort, object tb this for the following reasons. We There is already a two story rental unit on this end of the resort and any additional building would be overcrowding and would considerably effect the value of our property. 1. The recreational facility location,.use and placement would have a negative effect on the aesthetic (qualities of the area as well as represent a nuisance factor because of noise, tresnassing and reduced privacy 2. 3. It would change an area that has always been an established summer family residential area. An area where people enjoy the <^uiet^ the mature woods and their privacy In closing, we hope you will consider our objections to any construction at Woodlawn and we reouest you deny this conditional use reauest. Sincerely, Ken Chermak Pat Chermak :eiVEp; \N30CT ^ & RESQURCei Jan 23, 1937 Chairman Otter Tall County Planning Commission Shore land i lanagement Otter Tail County Court House Fergus Foils, Mn. 56537 Dear Sir, This concerns the Re-Conditional use Permit requested b y lir. Robert Narveson for construction of a multi-use building on SE of lot 5 and Lot C of Inglewood. The most serious qiiestion is the exact location of additional units on this resort complex, it is important that a sufficient buffer zone is maintained to adjacent single family residences. V/lth the amount of land available, I believe approximately 14 acres, owned by Robert Narveson, any additional units should be located away from the southwest corner where many of the buildings have been clustered. It would appear that the present building locations do not conform to the Otter Tall Shore land Ordinance of lot size per dvrelling unit of 26666 sq feet for clustered developments, therefore location of additional buildings should be clearly defined. The buffer zone as specified in the Ordinance has notapparently been observed and should not be further encroached. Your'3 truly a. ./Pate‘S C. A. Mudge and Sally Mudge and Parcel 52B Blanche Lake " Owners of Lot 7 Inglewood January 21, 1987 Director Shoreline Management Otter Tail County Court House Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537 Dear Director: I wish to take this opportunity to express our very, very strong objection to the "Conditional Use" requested by Mr. Robert Narveson for the construc tion of a multi-use building on the SE 1/4 of Lot 5 and Lot C of Inglewood at Woodlawn Resort. The reasons for our objections are: 1. There can be absolutely no doubt that the building as described, used as described would very significantly reduce the value of our property which is located on the adjacent lot. <- The "recreational facility" as described v/ould represent a very significant nuisance factor through excessive noise, late hours, trespassing and general disturbance in what is now an established summer family residential area — an area where the primary attribute now is a quiet, serene family atmosphere. 2. There is already a two story, double, rental unit on the property described. More rental units on this same lot would represent significant overcrowding, compounding the serious problems as stated above. 3. 4.,The factors of drinking water purity and of sewage disposal cannot be overlooked. In this area, sewage disposal is still through a "drain-field" system and such heavy use will have a detrimental effect on the surrounding area. The building size, placement, and use v/ould have a very significant negative effect on the aesthetic qualities of the area -- through the destruction of many big, beautiful trees. 5. ;Also - if this ^project is allowed, it will require a high "privacy fence" between his property and ours — to run the full length of the lots, in order to insure there would be absolutely no trespassing by his guests over our property (either at the front or back of the lots." 6. in the name of conservative, reasonable, shoreline management. Therefore I respectfully request that this conditional use permit be denied. Sincerely, 'TJeMars ,, y^sepo M. \ V\^0LN—*- . Marian J. DeMars
