They are government surplus , granaries from WWII, which need to be replaced. One cabin will be replaced at the site of the original. The other two will be moved back off the lake (200’). This structure will combine two units into one structure (walkout lower level) thus reducing the footprint on the land. Requesting a ordinary high water level setback of 29’ and a lot line setback of 37’ tapering to 25’. The required ordinary high water level setback is 200’ and the required lot line setback is 50’. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. (9:08 p.m.) Thomas and Janet Nolden, Lots 1 and 2, First Addition to Clear Beach Resort, Fish Lake in Aurdal Township, requested a variance of 170’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 200’ for the construction of 30’ by 40’ garage 30’ from the ordinary high water level. After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve the construction of an attached 24' by 24’ garage. The Board noted that an attached garage will provide the applicants with a reasonable use of there property and the variance as approved will place most of the proposed structure in the center of the lot.
