After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously
carried, to approve the variance as requested in the application and as depicted on the applicant’s drawing. The

Woodland Resort - Approved the variance as requested. (8:30 p.m.)
Woodland Resort, James and Miriam Hatlevig, part of Government Lot 4, Section 16 of Dead Lake
Township by Dead Lake, requested the following:
Woodland Resort has three of its six cabins that are original from 1947. They are government surplus
, granaries from WWII, which need to be replaced. One cabin will be replaced at the site of the original. The
other two will be moved back off the lake (200’). This structure will combine two units into one structure
(walkout lower level) thus reducing the footprint on the land.
Requesting a ordinary high water level setback of 29’ and a lot line setback of 37’ tapering to 25’. The
required ordinary high water level setback is 200’ and the required lot line setback is 50’.
Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested.
After consideration and discussion, Steve Schierer made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling and
unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested in the application and as depicted on the
applicant’s drawing. The Board noted that the proposed project is an improvement and the variance as
