Eugene Floersch, Battle Lake, ft], requested permission to increase
existing resort and canpground facilit^^ on 'I'foodland Beach Resort and
Caitpground in Section 2 of Everts Tcv/nship, on Otter Tail Lake, for
a variance fra^ the required lot size per dwelling and a variance fran
the lake frontage per unit. Terry Colton appearing in person and letters
from Chuck Hanson and Charles Johnson. After consideration, motion was
made by John Everts and seconded by Victor Petterson, Jr., to accept
the recommendation of the Planning Conmission for these variances,
being a unique situation with an existing resort vhose long range plan
included said ejqaansion for upgrading, not being able to acccmplish
the changes immediately and requirements being changed before the
upgrading was acccmplished, not setting a precedence and being consi
dered on its own merit.

DENIED
The motion failed rpon the following vote:
Yes - John Everts and Victor Petterson, Jr.
No - Marcus Wiechmann, George Walter land Roger Marty
Motion was then made by Marcus Wiechmann to grant an additional thirteen
units, hardship being the long range plan would be consistant v/ith the
original lake frontage ordinance allowing 10' per unit, also square
footage remains the same wath v,hat was originally proposed, additional
hardship is the unique shape of the Icuid. The motion was seconded by
Roger Marty for discussion. The motion carried upon the following vote:
Yes - Jolm Everts, Victor Petterson, Marcus Wiechmann and George
VJalter
No - Roger Marty
