West St, Paul, MN, requested a variance of 3’ from the required 20‘ road right-of-way setback so the applicant can keep a storm shelter constructed in 1991 at its present location. The property is described as Lot 3 of Hackberry Point, Dead Lake in Dead Lake Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 3' from the required 20' road right-of-way setback for the placement of the applicant's storm shelter. The location of this storm shelter presents no visibility problems for the neighboring properties. Woodlawn Beach Resort and Campground - Approved Woodlawn Beach Resort and Campground, Eugene Floersch Jr., Battle Lake, MN, requested a 40' variance from the required 50' buffer zone for the construction of a 10' by 12' storage shed. The property is described as Woodlawn Beach Resort, Section 32 of Everts Township on Otter Tail Lake. Letters in favor of granting this variance request were read for the record from the following individuals; Wm. and Catherine Moldenhauer and Irene and Mark Allmaras. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 40' from the required 50' buffer zone for the construction of a 1 O' by 12' storage shed, with the condition that the two existing storage sheds be removed. Glen Thomas - Approved Glen Thomas, Vining, MN, requested a variance of 4' from the required shore impact zone setback of 50' and a variance of 54' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the addition of a 12' by 24' enclosed sunporch to the front of the existing 24' by 32' cabin and for the addition of a 12' by 12' deck with railings approximately 5' above the ground level. The property is described as Lot 14 of Albrecht's Addition to Nirvana, East Battle Lake in Girard Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve a 4' variance from the required shore impact zone setback of 50' and a variance of 54' from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100' for the addition of a 12' by 24' enclosed sunporch to the front of the existing cabin and for the addition of a 12' by 12' deck with railings approximately 5' above the ground level. The applicant will be no closer to the lake than neighbors within the district and this is not a high risk area as far as the shore impact zone is concerned. ! ;
