AIS Task Force Update Bill Kalar, Land & Resource Administrator, reviewed the Aquatic Invasive Species Task Force meeting on September 12, 2016. RMB Labs presented on its progress of Phase 1 A of the 10-10 Lakes Study and requested funding for additional stages of Phase 1. CSAH 41 Relocation Feasibility Study Public Works Director Rick Wfest presented the CSAH 41 Relocation Feasibility study to consider moving CSAH 41 to the west from its current location as well as a review of this intersection at its present location. Mr. West also reported that MNDOT is conducting a scoping study for the existing CSAH 41 and Trunk High>way 108 intersection, and that data will be available for purposes of this feasibility study. Discussion was held with regard to current safety concerns at this intersection as well as the potential for increased traffic with the construction of the Star Lake Casino. Motion by Johnson, second by Lindquist, and unanimously carried to authorize appropriate County Officials’ signatures to execute an Agreement between the County of Otter Tail and SRF Consulting Group, Inc., for the CSAH 41 Relocation Feasibility Study. otter Tail County, Planning Commission September 14, 2016; Page 3 “Wee Villa Resort. Bert Olson August 31. 2016 Chairman Planning Commission Maiiing Date •'v V. 2 i 2ok08-22-2016 I am including this summary to the projects for a conditional use permit for Woodland Beach Resort Association. 1. Brett and Bonnie Hopponen, Lot 86-13 - Project includes an extension of their current deck. The addition to the deck will be 8 x 10 foot extension of wood construction with railing to match their existing deck, forming an L-shape deck. Add approximately. S’ feet^feet of pavers to connect new wood deck to the existing paver, curving around the tree in front of camper. See attached drawing. 2. Myron and Casey Tschakert, Cabin 6; This project includes placing concrete pavers. In the front of the cabin is a 10' x 10' concrete slab, to the sides of the slab in an area of grass, then a 10' x 10' concrete slab on each side. They are requesting to fill in the grass area between the slabs and extend out 3 feet between the slabs. They are also requesting a 24 inch walkway from the new slabs to their fire pit toward the lake. This will be 24 inches by 6 feet. This project is a total of 406 square feet of concrete pavers. See attached drawing. 3. Theresa Rodriguez, Lot 86-6. This deck project was done last fall and in my understanding the proper permits were not obtained. This request is to make modifications to their existing deck to comply with Woodland Beach Association rules. The submitted drawing shows the deck that was built last fall and the proposed modifications to comply with existing rules. Wheelchair ramps will be included on this deck due to the needs of a family member. The existing railing will be kept in place for safety reasons. Please review drawings for detailed changes to the existing deck. 4. Mike and Becky Mulvaney, Lot 86-2: This project is a request to add to their existing deck. The new construction will be an L-shaped extension to the back of their deck with railings that match existing deck. This project is a total of 140 square feet. See attached drawing. 5*. Justin & Kelly Arneson, Lot 86-12: This project is a request to add to their existing deck. The new construction will raise the deck by the back door to the existing deck and continue to the back of their trailer. The railing on the new construction will match the existing deck. This project is a total of 238 square feet. The Ameson's would also like to add a screen porch to sit on their existing deck. Please see attached drawing and screened on porch. 6. Woodland Beach Resort Association would like to request 2 additional camp sites. We currently rent out the house and are looking at the possiblity of fixing the house or tearing it down. Before any decision is made we would like to see if there would be a possibility to add 2 additional campsites in place of where the house sits. We would no longer rent out the house so we are really requestion one additional site.
