Donald Boom, Eagle Lake The Land & Resource Administrator and commissioners discussed Conditional Use Permit #3821 granted in 1989 to Dale Anderson, Pickerel Lake (56-204) for a business referred to as “I Love My Waterbeds Company”. Lengthy discussion revolved around whether or not Mr. Anderson should be required to apply for a new Conditional Use Permit to operate a gun business or does the 1989 retail sales CUP include the gun business. Motion by Stone to require Dale Anderson to apply for a CUP for his gun business. The motion failed for lack of a second. Motion by Lee, seconded Lindquist, and carried, with Portmann and Stone opposed, to amend the existing 1989 CUP of Dale Anderson, Pickerel Lake to include the gun business as part of a commercial, retail business with the condition that no guns be discharged on the property. Final Plats: Motion by Lee, seconded Lindquist, and unanimously carried to approve the final plat of “Silent Shores A/orfri”, East Silent Lake, (Sec. 33, Twp. 136N, R. 41W). Motion by Lindquist, seconded Lee, and unanimously carried to approve the final plat of “East Indian Shores”, Indian Lake, (Sec. 22, Twp. 132N, R. 42W). We would like to remove 2' tapering back to the gradual slope of the lots. The earth removed would be placed into lower aureas in the center area of the lots to make them level from side to side with a gradual slope from the bluff area crest back to the access road. We would like to do this so we would be able to better see children in the water amd on the hillside (safety). The property is described as Deer Trail Estates, Lots 3,4 & 5, Section 9 of Star Lake Township; Stcu: Ladce (56-385), GD. Mark Johnson represented the Application. A motion by Bergerud, second by Lachowitzer to approve the Conditional Use Application as submitted. Area to be stabilized by sod and seeding. Stabilization to be completed by September 15, 1996. Voting; All members in favor except Zimmerman. Mervin & Ervena Budke/"Top Of The Red" - Aonroved With Conditions; A Preliminary Plat called "Top of the Red" consisting of 8 residential lots, 1 block. Per the surveyor, the existing road meets Township specs. The property is described as Pt of Government Lot 2, Section 27 of and Lot 2, Section 34 of Friberg Township; Otter Tail River (OTR), AG. Mervin Budke, Robert Osland. Surveyor, Duane Mavis, Township Clerk and Gordon Hanneman, Township Chairman represented the Application. A motion by Johnson, second by Lachowitzer to approve the Preliminary Plat as submitted with the following conditions; 1) Final Plat must indicate 10' setback from the lotline for the existing garage. 2) The Township Board must indicate that they accept/approve the existing road and that it is a Public Road. The Friberg Township Board members present indicated that the road met their approval. Mr. Budke indicated he has repurchased the flowage rights/property which was owned by Otter Tail Power. Voting; All members in favor. Steve Paulson/Corv Heit - Approved As Presented; A Conditional Use Application request as follows; The mobile home on Lot #2 presently has a 12' x 52' mobile home, request to remove it and replace it with a 14' X 70' mobile home.
