RE: Proposed Porch Addition, Swan Lake Club, Swan Lake (56-781).
Dear Mr. Enquist,
On November 13, 1998, our office was informed that construction of your porch
addition had begun.
Since our records indicated that only a Variance from the lake setback requirement
had been granted (County Board of Adjustment on October 1, 1998), an onsite
inspection of your property was made on November 17, 1998. This inspection
revealed that construction of yoxir porch addition had not begun.
Since this is the case, the provisions of the County’s Shoreland Management
Ordinance (SMO) were not violated.
' In order to remain in compliance with the provisions of the SMO, please keep the
following in mind. Prior to beginning construction of your porch addition, a
Conditional Use Permit (CUP) through the County’s Planning Commission is
required since your dwelling is located within a Cluster Development. Once a CUP
has been issued, our office may issue a Site Permit which authorizes the actual
construction to begin.

In other words, both the Variance and the CUP are prerequisites (in this situation)
for obtaining a Site Permit, which authorizes the actual construction of your
proposed porch addition.
