Ule are forced to move our RCU and screen porch, which we have had since the 1980's. [jJe will be moving the same RCU to a higher area at the resort because of the high water, not because we want this. Lde are assuming our present setup will be allowed, due to the Grandfather Law. West Battle Lake (56-239), GD, Pt. Government Lot 3, Section 21, Girard Township, motion by Trites, second by Schwartz to approve the request. A Voting: All members in favor, except Zimmerman. Richard Doom - Recommendation; Bill Kalar discussed with the Commission the placement of a Keystone wall onsite without a Conditional Use Permit, West Battle Lake (56-239), GD, Lot 44 Fair Oaks, Section 32, Girard Township. A motion by Trites, second by Schwartz to recommend that the County attempt to have the wall removed (as soon as possible) and replaced with rip rap. Reasons are as follows: The conditions on this lot do not warrant this type of erosion control. 1. This Commission would not approve of this wall in this location if a permit had been applied for prior to construction. 2. There was not any use of erosion control blanket.3. The Keystone Wall often fails (letter from Terry Lejcher, DNR, dated December 9, 1994 on file). 4. Voting; All members in favor. South Turtle Lake Resort - No Action; Bill Kalar discussed with the Commission the possibility of Mr. Haugse purchasing the lot adjacent to the resort and converting his dwelling at the resort to a rental unit and using the dwelling on the new lot as his residence. Roger Haugse, South Turtle Lake (56-377), RD. The Commission indicated that it is likely that this request would be approved (contingent upon presentation). There was not any formal action taken. Junkyard Ordinance - No Action; The Commission did not take any action regarding this matter. Subdivision Controls Ordinance Revision - No Action; No formal action was taken, the Commission received some proposed changes to the Ordinance for their reviewal. Ordinance will be discussed.
