Motion by Mosher, second by Block, and unanimously carried to approve a Conditional Use
Permit for a cabin replacement as presented. The property is described as Pt of GL 4, (8.44
AC), Section 36 of Sverdrup Township; South Turtle Lake (56-377), RD.
Preliminary Plat & Conditional Use Permit - ‘‘Majestic Oaks of Rush Lake”/
Robert & Carol Martinson. Juanita Gronda:
Motion by Nelson, second by Mosher, and unanimously carried to deny the proposed
Preliminary Plat known as “Majestic Oaks of Rush Lake” consisting of 20 single family
residential lots and a Conditional Use Permit to construct a road to service the plat. The
reasons for denial are as stated in the Otter Tail County Planning Commission minutes dated
November 8, 2006. The property is described as Pt of GL’s 1,2 & 3, Section 17 and Pt of GL
4, Section 18 of Otto Township: Rush Lake (56-141), GD.

recommended by the Planning Commission. The reasons for denial are as stated in the
Otter Tail County Planning Commission minutes dated November 8, 2006. The property is

year-round. Parking is available for up to 5 cars. A sign for the retreat will be placed at the
end of the driveway on Leaf River Road. The property is described as Pt GL 4, (5 AC),
Section 24 of Leaf Lake Township; East Leaf Lake (56-116), RD.
Brad Anderson represented the Application.
Motion: A motion by Wilson, second by Estes to approve as presented provided: 1.
They should make every effort to insure handicap accessibility. 2. The parking spots are
identified onsite. 3. The fire pit area is cleaned-up. 4. The sign does not exceed 2’ x 4’ in

We are enclosing a copy of our report covering an examination of plans and
specifications on the above-designated project. The plans and specifications
appear to be in general compliance with the standards of this department.
Please see the enclosed report for additional changes and/or comments. It is
the project owner’s responsibility to retain the plans at the project
location.
This review does not pertain to the Engineering design (i.e., plumbing,
swimming pools, service connections, sewage systems). A separate report
regarding the Engineering Review will be sent.
Ten working days prior to completion of the project, please contact
Mr. Glenn Donnay with our Fergus Falls district office at 218/739-1376
in order to arrange for a final on-site inspection.

The following are corrections or requests for additional information necessary
before construction of your project:
1. No portion of the park may be subject to flooding.
2. Recreational camping vehicles shall be separated from each other by at least
ten feet. Any accessory structure such as awnings, car ports, or individual
storage facilities, shall for the purpose of this separation requirement,
be considered part of the. recreational camping vehicle.
3. A minimum lot size of 2,000 square feet shall be provided for each
recreational camping site.
4. All systems of plumbing shall be installed in accordance with the provisions
of Chapter 4715 of the Minnesota Plumbing Code.
5. Fire protection shall be provided in accordance with the requirements of the
state fire marshal.
