Mr. Hydukovich offered to write the grants on behalf of Otter Tail County. Discussion took place regarding matching funds and the proposed bonding arrangement. Randall Mann, Chair, polled the audience with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. A letter from Fred Marker in opposition to the variance as requested was read for the record. After discussion and consideration, Randall Mann made a motion, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship unique to the property had been shown that would allow for the granting of the variance as requested and there is adequate room to meet the setback requirements from the bluff and the ordinary high water level. The Board noted that they are approving any variance or variance(s) that the Land and Resources Department or the Planning Commission might require before they can grant to the applicant the necessary approvals/permits for the removal of the existing structure and/or the filling of the affect area once the structure as been removed.
