Minnesota MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT February 13th, 1992 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, February 13th, 1992 with the following persons in attendance: John Everts Cecil Fern ling Dan Oehler Bert Olson George Walter Tim Griep, Land and Resource Management Wally Senyk, County Attorney CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George WaTteF: - MINUTESAPPROVED-January 2nd, 1992 Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the January 2nd, 1992 meeting weire declared approved as mailed. The following variance requests were heard: LAVERN W. BLACKLEDOE - APPROVED LaVern W. Blackledge, Ottertail, MN, requested a variance to keep a garage 20' by 19'4" on its present location. The property is described as part of Government Lot 5 in the Rear of Lot 14 Riverview Beach., Otter Tail River in Rush Lake Township. A let ten from George C~and Patricia L. Bates stating no objections to the granting of the variance request was read for The record.' The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After cdhslderation. motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried’, to approve the variance as requested. There appears to be no problem with the setback from the road right of way. ' . SENTER SEVEN INC. - APPROVED Senter Seven Inc. - Leonard Factor Pres., LeCenter, MN, requested a variance to reconstruct cabin ^4 which has had extensive fire damage. The property is described as part of Government Lot 3, Section 16 of Dead Lake Township on Dead Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve the reconstruction of cabin -*^4, with the condition that the structure be no closer to the lake than the previous structure that was damaged by the fire. There are other structures on this lot in the shore impact zone, which makes “the use of the string line test practical, and no precedent would be establ ished. The granting of this variance does not make a substandard situation more substandard.
