In order to properly evaluate the situation, please provide as much supplementary information as possible, such as: maps, plans,
information about surrounding property, etc. APPLICIANT SHALL BE PRESENT AT THE SCHEDULED HEARING.
I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreiand Management Ordinance of Otter Tail County.
I understand i must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additional variances and/or permits are required
by the township for my proposed project.

December 4, 1986
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment net Thursday, Decenber 4,
1986 with the follcwing persons in attendance:
Roger Marty
John Everts
Craig Anderson
George Walter
Victor Petterson, Jr.
Marcus Wiechmann
Tim Greip, Land & Pesource
Waldemar Senyk, Assistant County Attorney
Chairman Walter called the meeting to order at 7,:00 p.m., and hearing
no objections or corrections to the minutes of the November 6th
meeting declared same approved as mailed.
The following requests for variance were heard:
Gary Kaiser, Saint Paul, MN, requested permission to construct a screen
porch 47' frcm lake, a boathouse 103' fron lake and an entry on house
65' fron lake, on Lot 14 Lillis Survey Lots in G.L. 2 & 3, Section 16,
Dead lake Township, on Dead Lake. After consideration, motion was made
by Roger Marty to allcw the screen porch and entry to be built no
closer to the lake by applying the screen test, between the cottages
adjacent on either side. The motion was seconded by John Everts and
carried rpon the following vote:
All voting in favor
Motion was then made by Roger Marty to ^prove the boat house no closer
to the lake than 103', hardship being able to enjoy the same rights
and privileges as the neighbors enjoy. The motion was seconded by John
Everts and carried upon the following vote:
All voting in favor

Terry, Elmer and June Colton, Clitherall, MN, represented by Eliter
colten, requested permission to be granted an ac3ditional'twenty-three
building units at Scenic Point Resort on Clitherall Lake, in G.L. 2,
Section 13, Clitherall Township. After consideration, motion was
made by Victor Petterson to approve the additional 23 units, with a
variance square foot requirement reduction of 26,660' to 15,500',
upon the reccmmendation of the Planning Camdssion, hardship being
the unique shape of the property. The motion was seconded by John
Everts and carried upon the following vote:
All voting in favor
Paul Gallagher, Fargo, ND, requested permission to place storage shed
13!6" from road right-of-way, on Lot 45 & W 25' of 44, Broadwater Beach,
Enjnn Township, on Pelican Lake. After consideration, motion was made
by Roger Marty to approve placement of storage shed 13'6" from road
right-of-way. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and carried
upon the following vote:
All voting in favor
Terry Huseth, Underwood, MN, requested permission to construct dwelling
150' frail lake, on Pcirt of G.L. 3 & 6, Section 16, Tordenskjold Township,
on Long Lake. Appearing and speaking were Gary Nelson and Elrcy Maack.
After consideration, motion was made by Marcus Wiechmann to deny,
alternative building spots back of the required building line, with
no adequate hardship shown. The motion was seconded by Victor Petterson
and carried upon the following vote:
