Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Commission was held on May 7, 1986
at 7:00 P.M. in the Government Services Building, 505 South Court Street,
Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537.
Cecil Femling, Frank Lachowitzer, Reba Lee, Bert Olson,
Victor Petterson, Jr
Trites, Mike Kirk, County Attorney and Bill Kalar, Asst.
Administrator, Land & Resource Management were also
present.

A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Femling to approve the
minutes of the April 2, 1986 meeting as mailed.

Tgyggy ; A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Femling to approve the
conditional use application of Terry Bennett, on Rose Lake, No.
56-360, RD, in Section 8 of Hobart Township to allow a maximum
of 3 feet of fill and must stay 1 foot below the ice ridge,
there are to be no stumps removed from the ice ridge and no
permanent structure are to be built on this area.
Voting: All members in favor.
A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Femling to table the

best interests of the county to proceed with the proposed changes.

The date of May 29, 1986, at 7:00 p.m., was set for a meeting to be
held in the Government Services Building, Fergus Falls, for the purpose
of discussion on environmental and land use regulations, to which the
Department of Natural Resources, the County Health Department, the
County Board of Adjustment, the Otter Tail County Planning Comnission,
the County Attorney's staff, the Department of Land & Resource Manage
ment and the local area legislators have been invited to attend.

Virgil Florhaug and James L. Perras of C-A-M and Rich McCarthy of
Klein-McCarthy & Co., appeared before the Board bo discuss Phase I
Jail Expansion. •. A report was presented, as directed by the Board
at its May 1st meeting on ways to reduce the jail expansion budget
increase of $370,000 to $250,000. ttotion was made by Bert Hovland,
seconded by Andy Lindquist and unanimously carried, to proceed with
the Phase I Jail Expansion plans with the understanding that C-A-M
and Klein-McCarthy, Architects, continue to look for additional ways
