Resolution Authorizing Execution of Agreement Otter Tail County Resolution No. 2007 - 86 Upon a motion by Froemming, second by Nelson, and unanimously carried, the following resolution was adopted: BE IT RESOLVED, that Otter Tail County will enter into a cooperative agreement with the Office of Justice Programs in the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Sheriff, Brian Schlueter, is hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amendments, as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the Otter Tail County Sheriffs Office. The property is described as NW1/2 NE1/4 except pt lying N of the centerline of the township road and GL 3, Section 9 of Star Lake Township: Star Lake (56-385), GD. Scott Walz (Meadowland Surveying) and Pierre & Mary duCharme represented the Application. Jerry Johnson spoke against the project and expressed concerns regarding the need for protecting the lake and the density (too many units proposed). Jeff Birch had questions regarding the notification process and expressed concerns regarding the effect on the environment, stating that 45 units is too many. Bob Weatherly expressed concerns regarding the use of the proposed boat slips, boat traffic, the environment, density, compatibility, stating he was opposed to the request. John Millerhagen stated he is opposed to the request and agrees with what has been said, he expressed concerns with the density (number of units proposed and boat traffic). Motion: A motion by Estes, second by Wilson to table to January 9, 2008, as requested by the Applicant to allow the Applicant time to provide a more detailed plan, reduce the density, work with the DNR regarding the docking, and address the Planning Commission Considerations listed in the Shoreland Management Ordinance. Voting: All Members in favor, except Olson. Pine Beach Resort/Lee & Karen Ombera - Approved As Presented: A Conditional Use Permit Application (as stated by the Applicant): 14’ x 4T addition to our house - used for office in home & game room are for guests at our resort.
