MOTION AS FOLLOWS:
Motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of
40' from the required 50' side lot line setback tor the replacement of an existing 8' by 40' mobile home with a
12' by 55' mobile home 10' from the side lot line with the condition that there be no more than five mobile
home units on the parcel at any time. It should be noted that the current situation of the property is being
improved by moving the new mobile home 4' further from the lot line than the existing mobile home and by
reducing the total approve units from 7 to 5.

Robert and Suzanne Lervtck - Approved
Robert and Suzanne Lervick, Burnsville, MN, requested a variance of 13' from the required ordinary high
water level setback of 75' for the construction of a proposed structure 62’ from the ordinary high water level.
Applicants are requesting that they be allowed to establish a string line from the southeast corner of the
screened porch on Lot 5, Martin Knoll, to the point closest to the lake on the cottage located on Lot 6, Block 2,
Oak Grove Summer Resort. The property is described as tract located between Lot 5, Martin Knoll and Lot 6,
Block 2 of Oak Grove Summer Resort, Pelican Lake in Scambler Township. The audience was polled with no
one speaking for or against the request, A note from Robert Bergquist in favor of the variance request was read
for the record. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Carl Johnson and carried
with John Everts and George Walter voting no, to approve using the most forward point on the structure to the
east when determining the location of the string line. It was noted that the structure to the east is vision
obstructing due to its design. The granting of the variance will allow the applicants to build up to the existing
building line.
Kevin Christianson - Approved
Kevin Christianson, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 40' from the required 50' side lot line setback for
cluster developments for the replacement of an existing 8' by 40' mobile home with a 12' by 55' mobile home
1 O' from the side lot line. The property is described as Lot 1 and Reserve Block 2, Inwood Beach 3rd Addition
and part of Government Lot 7, Section 17 of Dunn Township on Fish Lake. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by
Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 40' from the required 50' side lot line setback
for the replacement of an existing 8’ by 40’ mobile home with a 12' by 55' mobile home 1 O' from the side lot
line with the condition that there be no more than five mobile home units on the parcel at any time. It should
be noted that the current situation of the property is being improved by moving the new mobile.home 4’

the construction of a 2nd level to an existing 10' by 20' storage shed 6' from the side lot line. The overall
height of the structure will be 16' 8". The property is described as Lot 2, Block 4, Crystal Lida Beaches, Lake
Crystal in Lida Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A letter
from Margaret Johnson in favor of the variance request was read for the record. After consideration, motion
was made by John Everts, seconded by Randall Mann and carried with Carl Johnson and Cecil Femling voting no.
to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown.

has made application to the Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment for a variance as per requirements of the
Otter Tail County Shoreland Management Ordinance and/or the Subdivison Controls Ordinance. The Otter
Tail County Board of Adjustment will assemble for this hearing on
August 1 1th, 1994, at 7:00 p.m..
in the Commissioners' Room of the Otter Tail County Courthouse, Fergus Falls, MN.
