The application states that you want to add 2 units in Tier 1, 2 units in Tier 2 and 2 units in Tier 3. I only see that you have land in Tier 1 and Tier 2. Could you please send me a map or website to help me understand better where the Land Tier begin and end or how these are measured so I can ciarify our request. 2. From the aerial photography you provided in the application, it looks like you will be putting 2 units over on the east side of your property. From the aerial and from the National Wetland Inventory, it appears that these camp sites would be installed in a wetland. Can you confirm? This would not be allowed and these two units would have to be relocated. Our original survey completed by Anderson Surveying portrayed the wetiand to be further back. (Please see Ghana Original Survey (No Sites). After some discussion with Anderson Surveying, I decided to hire a Wetland delegation Surveyor "Environmental Scientific" out of Alexandria, MN. I had them complete a wetland survey on the property. He gave his opinion on what could be considered wetlands, but explained that the State of MN or Land and Resource would not necessarily consider his findings as Wetland. I do know that this land has remained high and dry since we began our project. This is why I was hoping to potentially put one or maybe two sites on the east side of the property. In the 2018 survey when we had the opportunity to have 24 units the lots were smaller. We chose to expand the lot size and go with 15 sites with future pians of adding 6 more. Attached is a new map with current sites and New proposed locations. Please feel free to give me a cail with any questions. Thank you, Arturo and Erika On Thu, Jan 20, 2022 at 9:53 AM Chris LeClair <cleclair(5)co.ottertail.mn.us> wrote: Hi Art! Draw on the survey, scan it and email it back. I see from the 2018 survey, you are allowed 24 units, I just want to make sure we are permitting them in acceptable locations. We are just getting around to completing the attached Unit Expansion Application. Thank you for meeting with me a few months ago. At our meeting you asked me to provide description of the planned expansion at Ghana Resort. Back in 2018, we had hired Anderson Surveying to draw our site plan for Ghana Resort. They explained to us at the time that we had space for 23 RCU however at the time we chose to present 15 RCU sites and one building for public restrooms to the Land and Resource Board. Now that the campground is operating we would like the opportunity to add the six additional sites and marina boat slips. My understanding after our conversation is there are new rules that were adopted in Gttertail County allowing expansion at Ghana. I had also mentioned at the time that we would like the additional marina boat slips to free up parking space for vehicles and guests on the premises. This would also reduce vehicle/trailer traffic entering and exiting Hwy 108.1 have included the most recent survey from Anderson Surveying in 2018 showing our 5.04 acres of property. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!
