Department;with the following conditions and understandingst
1. The entire on-site sewage treatment system project is to be reviewed and approved by Otter Tail County*
The Department is commenting only on the separation distance to the tt^o cabins and is not reviewing or approving the project*
3» All other required isolation distances are to be complied with*
4. The proposed location is understood to be the only available
site for the drainfield which can comply with isolation dis
tances to the lake and the wells, not be subject to tloodino, and have at least three feet from the bottom of the ciraiiuieid
to the seasonal high water table»
The cabins have no basement or foundation*
6, The drainfield area roust be protectedfrom any type of vehicle traffic on a year-round basis*

MINUTES-OF THE MEETING
OF THE
OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
February 3, 1983
The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met at 7:00 p.m.,
Thursday, February 3, 1983, with George Walter, Frank Lachowitzer, Tom Stringer,
John Everts and Craig Anderson present.
Upon motion made by Tom Stringer, seconded by John Everts and car
ried, the minutes of the November 4, 1982 meeting were approved as mailed.
Old business:
Raymond Pfeifle, Pelican Rapids, MN, requested permission to ^ace a drainfield
closer than 20' by two cottages, on Lots 4, 5, 6 & E 72' of 7, Block 2, Crystal-
Lida Beaches, Lida Township. Tom Stringer requested to be withdrawn from dis
cussion and voting on this particular issue. Mr. Charles Krekelberg, Attorney,
represented Mr. Pfeifle. After considerable discussion, motion was made by Craig
Anderson, seconded by Frank Lachowitzer and carried, to grant a variance at a ten
foot separation from the cottages involved.
Vernon Stenerson, Rothsay, MN,requested permission to sell an 80 acre parcel in
Section 22 of Oscar Township, retaining one acre for homestead, without a surveyor's
drawing.Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and carried.

New business:
John F. Rademacher, Scottsdale, Arizona,requested permission to allow a garage
and a fence to remain as located on a 77 X 800' tract in G.L. 2, Section 8, Otter
Tail Township.In Mr. Rademacher's absence, he was represented by his father.
After considerable discussion, motion was made by Tom Stringer to deny both the re
quest to allow the garage and the fence to remain at the present location, no showing
of a unique hardship. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and carried.
Roger Goettsch, Moorhead, MN, requested permission to construct a 24' x 24' garage
approximately 20' from road right-of-way, on Lot 9, Siiady Acres, Edna Township.Af
ter discussion, motion was made by Frank Lachowitzer to approve, the hill creating
a hardship, lay of the lot being a hardship, subject to tying Lots 8 and 9 together
so the lots will be considered as one lot for future sales, with the placement of
the garage parallel to the road so backing onto the road is not necessary, and
The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried.subject to town board approval.
