Two years ago we built a new house 200’ further from the lake with a new septic system. This allowed us to spread our campers out and use old house sewer system, taking pressure off our other sewer systems. So we’ve increased our sewer capacity and improved the appearance of our resort. This would enhance the appearance once again and would have no adverse affect on our sewer capacity. We have plenty of room for the traffic and we look at this as a way to help us keep this a viable business. Especially since we’re only open 4>2 months a year. Thank you for your consideration of our request. (Existing:40 campsites & 1 dwelling, Propose; 45 campsites & 1 dwelling.) Michael & Kristie Partain - Approved As Presented: A Conditional Use Permit Application to transfer my Federal Firearms License to my property on Long Lake. I have had this FFL since 1988 when I opened my gun repair business. For an FFL you are checked out by the ATF (the issuing agent), local law enforcement and must comply with any local zoning ordinances, which is why I need the C.U.P. to change the address on my license. I am not working full time as a gunsmith now, but would like to retain my license as they are expensive and hard to get. I may in the future want to do gunsmithing full time. I have 2 garages on my lot and would like to have one as my shop location. This building has 2 parking spaces in the driveway area. If I do conduct business, it would be as a contract gunsmith, meaning no sign, no business hours for the public. I would pickup work at contract businesses, take it back to my shop and return to the business. This would limit or eliminate traffic coming in and out for repair work therefore minimize impact on my neighbors.
