BECKER COONTF TRANSFER Motioi was rtede by Bert Hovland, seconded by Arxty Lindquist and car- STATION COST RECOVERS ried, instructing the County Attorney to draft a letter to the Becker County Beard requesting payment in the amount of $67,489.74, to cover Otter Tail County's contribution to the transfer station in Detroit Ldees that is no longer utilized by Otter Tail County. REGIGtRL RAIL AUTHORITY larry Krohn, County Coordinator, advised the Board the Steaims County MEETING Plainning Department has scheduled a meeting to vhich manbers of the Otter Tail County Board are invited, to discuss the proposed Regional Railroad Authority. Motion was made by Bert Hovland, seconded by Sydney Nelson and carried with Coimissioner Olson abstaining, to appoint Andy Lindquist and Mel 0. Olson to attend the meeting as representatives of the Otter Tail County Board. CAFETERIA BEJffilTTS Krohn discussed proposals for the Implementation of a "cafeteria benefits" plan for county employees. Chairman Olson appointed Bert Hovland and Sydney Nelson to review proposals, for recemendation to the Board, enrollment starting in October, effective January 1, 1991. FzaneiS Pisasley from the Last Resort on long Lake appeared before the Board requesting a tenporary conditional use permit for the resort whic^ has not been open for approximately fi\« years, made by Bert Hovland, seconded by Sydney Nelson and carried, to allow the Last Resort to run under a tenporary permit, mtil such decision has been resolved throu* the hearing pirooedure with the Otter Tail County Planning Cemnission. Steve Andrews, Treasurer, and Erwin Siems, Comty Assessor, appe^u3ed before the Board regcurding clerical error corrections and the time frame for corrections by May 15th. Upon motion made by Sydney Nelson, seconded by Bert Hovland and carried, the follcwing resolution was adopted: RESOLVED by the Board of Couity Cermissioners of Otter Tail County Minnesota, that WHETOAS the time frame between this date and the due date of peyment of taxes by Hay 15th does now allow for a timely correction and re­ turn of piayment prior to Msy 15th, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, those corrections in the 1990 tax statanents due to errors in the county offices, be processed eis quickly as possible, allowing psyment within fifteai days of post­ mark of the corrected statement, without additional penalties.
