I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tail
County. I understand I must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additional variance and/or permits
are required by the township for my proposed project.

Ervin Krerner, Randal & Joan Hutmacher, Perham, MN, requested a variance of 14’ from the
required 50' buffer zone for garages on the north and south lot lines for a 9 unit condo. The
property is described as Lots 4 and 5, Block 1 and part of Lot 2 Block 2 . Blaln Heights, Otter
Tail Lake in Otter Tail Township. After consideration, the applicants have withdrawn their
request.
Jack Arne Ralston - Denied
Jack Arne Ralston, Moorhead, MN, requested a variance to remove a 12' by 22' boathouse and
replace It with an 8' by 10' storage building, The structure would be approximately 20' from
the shoreline and approximately 6' from the side lot line. Water oriented accessory structures
are to be centered on the lot. The property is described as Lot 6, Northland Beach, Pelican Lake
in Dunn Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. A
letter from Fred Henning in favor of the applicant's request was read for the record. After
consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Fern ling and unanimously
carried, to table this request as the applicant was not present at the time of the hearing, until
the September 3rd, 1992 meeting. The audience was not polled at the September 3rd meeting as
there was no one present in the audience. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts,
seconded by Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no
adequate hardship had been shown.
Keith L. 5osek/Greg and Carla Gauwltz - Tabled
Keith L, Bosek, Silver Maple Lodge, Perham, MN, requested a variance to allow the resort
corporation, which presently owns 4 parcels, to split off parcel number 4 as stated in the
application from the rest of the resort for private sale. The property is described as part of
Government Lot 2, Section 2 of Perham Township on Little Pine Lake. The variance request was
represented by Carla and Greg Gauwitz. The audience was polled with no one speaking tor or
against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Bert
Olson and unanimously carried, to table this request until the September 3rd meeting for
additional information regarding the status of the road and the amount of wetlands area, A letter
from Greg and Carla Gauwitz was read for the September 3rd, 1992 meeting. After additional
consideration and discussion, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Fern ling and
unanimously carried to table this variance request until the September 10th meeting to allow
the Shoreland Management Office an opportunity to talk with Carla and Greg Gauwitz,
With no further business. Chairman Walter declared the meeting adjourned at 9.45 p.m.
