Dear Roy,
Twenty years ago I began helping the Lake Region Camp grounds become
a reality as a camping place for recovering chemically dependent per- ■
sons and their families. It was to provide a place where they could
go with their families and camp even if they did not have money or it
cost them very little; also, a place where there was no alcohol or
drug usage.
I first began 20 years ago by helping clear the land so that it was
suitable for this purpose and then later, as President, wrote grant
applications to foundations to pay off the loans, buy more land, put
up the buildings and general improvements.
I first began camping on the grounds 20 years ago and this has always
been the intended use of the grounds and what we have used it for
during the past 20 years.
If you have any questions please call me.
Sincerely^
