I also talked with my neighbor who said you stopped by and did a readjustment. I thank you for coming out, and I agree with your new placement and it is very consistent with the neighbor's placement that was done earlier this spring. So, again, thanks for taking time to come out for the re-inspection. I do appreciate your doing that. Thanks, bob From: Bill Kalar rmailto:bkalar@co.ottertail.mn.us1 Sent: Monday, October 21, 2013 10:19 AM To: Bob Green Subject: RE: set back Ur Hi Bob, As you may be aware, I stopped by your property on Friday, Oct. 18*'’. At that time, I relocated the stakes Mark Ronning (Inspector) had placed onsite earlier this month. As you will see, I believe the Ordinary High Water Level (OHWL) is at the current lake level and not in your rock rip rap as staked by Mark. I also believe that this difference is due to Mark using a temporary benchmark and me using the permanent gauge. Hopefully, this resolves your concerns. If not, please give me a call (218-998-8095). I requested a set back determination last week and Mark Ronning went out and made the marks. I talked with Mark yesterday on some questions about the stake location as I was somewhat surprised where 75 ft from the OHW was located... Mark had no prpbleifi asking for a recheck on this as I think it was not quite accurate... Here are my thoughts. I copied part of my original survey that was done in 03 or early 04 and attached it to this email.. I assume it is also on file in your office as Mark stated a letter was sent back in today's mail. What I find is that the OHW elevation of south Lida at that point was 1314.3 ft.(1912 Datum) The surveyors determination is the dotted line located just in front of the two front cabins on the lot. (hilited) I also marked the approx, locations of Mark's stakes on both ends of the lot... I had originally asked for one right next to the left building where I drew the X but he did not do that. Now, the current benchmark for OHW is still 1314.3 ft according the lake water level report that I printed off this rfiorning. It looks to me that there is.quite a difference between the two determinations... I would like to believe that the surveyors were right on in their determinations. So, please advise if we can re examine the staking... I can bring in the entire survey done back then... We did plenty of rip rapping a few years ago, but the water hardly made it to the bottom of the rip raps., the Mark determined OHW is in the rip rap., and I .don't think that is quite accurate... Please advise. Thanks. Bob Green Ps.
