Eugene and Darrnell Krell - Approved
3
Eugene and Darmell Krell, Coon Rapids, MN, requested a variance to subdivide an existing 2.71 acre parcel into
three tracts that would be pennanently attached to three lake lots. The three back lots would not be used for
residential constmction. If the variance is approved Eugene and Darnell Krell will be keeping one of the three parcels
and conveying the other two parcels to the owners of the lake lots directly in front of these two parcels. The property
is described as part of Government Lots 5 and 6, Section 12 of Maine Township by Pickerel Lake. The audience was
polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts,
seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve the applicants’ proposed subdivision of an existing
2.71 acre parcel into three tracts that would be permanently attached to three adjacent lake lots with the condition that
a registered surveyor's drawing must be provided at the time of conveyance. It was noted that these three parcels,
which are located across the road from the lake lots, will be considered nonbuildable for residential dwellings. It was
also noted that the applicants will have no unattended property across the road after the subdivision has been
completed.
Doug and Nancy A. Hovey - Approved
Doug and Nancy A. Hovey, Dent, MN, requested a variance to place a pitched roof on an existing mobile home, with
an attached porch, being 9’ 9" from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as part of Government
Lot 2, Section 3 of Star Lake Township by Star Lake. Steven Brignall, owner of the mobile home, appear along with
the applicants at the public hearing. The audience was polled with Selma Brignall speaking in favor of the variance
request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously
carried, to allow the placement of a pitched roof on both the mobile home and the attached porch with the provision
that the two roofs cannot be joined together.
David and Judy Pederson - Approved
David and Judy Pederson, Bamesville, MN, requested a variance of approximately 37' from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a 28’ by 60’ dwelling approximately 63’ from the ordinary high
water level and a variance of approximately 34’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the
construction of a 12’ by 12’ gazebo approximately 66’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as
part of Lots 3 and 4 and all of Lot 5, East Shore, Tamarac Lake in Scambler Township. The audience was polled with
no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by

line as detemiined by the string line test and to approve the placement of a 12’ by 12’ gazebo behind the building line
subject to the purchase of the adjacent property by the applicants. Hardship being a substandard lot of record
(depth). It was noted that both of the existing mobile homes will be removed and both garages will remain on the
property.

high water level. The property Is described as Lot 19 and part of Lot 34, Haugen’s Point, Pelican Lake in Dunn
Township. The audience was polled with H. R. Lund speaking in favor of the vaHance request. After consideration,
motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as
requested as no adequate hardship had been shown and another alternative site does exist that will not require any
variances for the placement of the proposed structure.
