Minnt »I MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER Tm COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT siAprll 5, 1990 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, April 5,1990, with the following persons In attendance: Dan Oehler John Everts Craig Anderson Vic Petterson Carl Johnson George WalterWm. Kalar, Land & Resource Management Barbara Hanson & Wally Senyk, Attorneys Chairman Walter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no changes or corrections of the minutes of the March 1st meeting, declared the minutes approved as mailed. The following applications for variance were heard: Helen Adams, Richville, MH, requested permission to convey property without a survey In G.L. 4, Section 4, Rdsh Lake Township and Section 7, Dead Lake Township. After discussion, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Dan Oehler to tabl^. Motion carried. Otis Phelps, Dent, MN, requested permission to put living quarte top of storage basement, increasing dwelling units In resort from***^® 10 to 11, on a tract in the northwest corner of G.L. 4, Section 34, I Dora Township on East Silent Lake. After consideration, motion was ■ made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Vic Petterson and unanimously ■ carried, to approve variance as requested, hardship being building JM needs to have something done to 1t to preserve the terrain. James H. Ellis, Battle Lake, MN, requested permission to enclose entry­way on existing building , 14' from right-of-way, on Lt 15, Block 4, Bonita Beach, Everts Township on Otter Tail Lake. After consideration,, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Vic Petterson and unani­ mously carried, to approve variance as requested, no closer to toad than existing structure, hardship being to grant would present no hazard, with increased safety for patrons by providing an additional exit. Ida Engstrom, Perham, MN, requested permission to split Reserve Lot "C", Engstrom Beach, 5th Addition, Edna Township on Big McDonald Lake. After consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to table, to explore other alternatives In order not to land lock the one parcel. Richard L. Krone, Dllworth, MN, requests permission to rebuild a cabin on site of burned-out cabin, on a parcel located in G.L. 9, Section 1, Dunn Township on Lake Holbrook. After consideration, motion was made by Carl Johnson, seconded by Craig Anderson and unanimously carried, to approve no closer to lake than existing foundation, hardship being substandard lot of record. Esther C. Herzog, DeWitt, Iowa, represented by Kelly Beaman, requested permission to build a garage 8 feet from property line, on Lots 6 & 7, Lindenwood, Leaf Lake Township on East Leaf Lake. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and carried, Johnson absent during vote, to grant approval as requested, hardship beint substandard lot of record, with gradual grading terrain feature involved.
