GOLF — Our own 9 hole course, adjoining our grounds. Grass greens. Detroit Lakes Country Club course of 27 holes is 5 miles away — grass greens.BATHING BEACH — Fully equipped, water wheel, tower, a fine sand beach with no drop-offs. No weeds. Safe for children. Also floating raft for fishing and 2 pontoons. HEATED POOLS — One 30 by 52 feet and one wading pool for children. Fully equipped with springboard, also for water volleyball and latest equipment for filtering and heating. Largo patio surrounds both pools. TABLE TENNIS — Three tables available at all times in recreation hall. SHUFFLEBOARD — Four outside courts — floodlights for night play, and three inside courts — making seven courts. PUTTING GREEN — Located in center of grounds. SOFTBALL — Excellent softball court located on 7th fairway. HORSESHOE — Court is located just below rustic bridge — weekly tournament play. FISHING — Boats and bait always on hand. Varieties caught include walleyed pike, northerns, bass, crappies and panfish. We can direct you to many lakes in this area where fishing is excellent. We sell resident and non-resident fishing licenses. Bring your own motor or we can rent you one. We have a large deep freeze where we can store your catch. We now fillet your catch for a small fee. BOATING — Thirty clean aluminum boats are furnished our guests free. Also 3 speed boats for water skiing. Also 30 ft. pontoon for rent. BILLARDS — Two fine regulation tables available. LAUNDRY — 2 coin machines, 2 dryers. PROGRAMS — Each Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with guests participating. Hootenanny program on Tuesday put on by the staff and Guest Talent Show on Thursdays. Bring your music or instrument along and join the fun. PONY RIDES — For the children each morning. We have three Shetland ponies with cart and saddles. SADDLE HORSES — We do not maintain our own stable but we take reservations for riding at Soo Pass Dude Ranch a short distance from the resort. This program is taken care of by our Rec. Directors. If you are coming from the south or east, the best route is -2^10 to St. Cloud, then west on —52. —52 goes into Interstate 94. Turn off Interstate 94 just north of Fergus Falls and take ^^59 north. We are 12 miles north of Pelican Ra pids. Turn west on county ^31, lo cated between #250 and #251 highway mileage markers. If coming from the north or west, take #10 to #59, which is located on the west side of Detroit Lakes, then 10 miles south on 59 to county #20, and follow our arrows west. Detroit Lakes is served by the Northern Pacific passenger train and Greyhound Bus. Northwest Airlines and North Central have several flights to Fargo, N. Dak. 50 miles away. We meet all trains, buses and airlines if arrangements are made in advance, or you can call us upon arrival and we will be there as soon as possible. If you need a car, arrangements can be made either with us, or the local Hertz office.ACCOMMODATIONS This is a complete modem resort in every respect, hot and cold running water in all cabins and rooms, and with either single or double beds, all equipped with box springs. We have 50 cabins and a Ranch House having 12 separate units, making 66 units in all, giving us a capacity well over 200 guests. All rooms and cabins have wall to wall carpeting, private baths and showers. Cabins are from 1 to 4 rooms, we place you according to size of your party. All accommodations are equipped like hotel rooms and all linens are furnished.
