Board of Adjustment - 4 -May 3, 1984
Lyle Kachelmyer. Battle Lake, MN, requests permission to split a 3.13 acre parcel
into two lots, one 2.13 acre lot and one 1 acre lot on Lublot 3 of G.L. 3 & 4,
Section 23, Rush Lake Township. After consideration, and after listening to the
various interested parties, motion was made by Tom Stringer to approve subject to
the lot on which the cabins are located, or lakeside, will have no less than a 33*
wide access abutting on the dedicated public road, and the road side parcel shall
be no less than one full acre in size as depicted on a surveyor's drawing that
would have to accompany deed.The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and carried.
Roger Fenske. New Ulm, MN, requested permission to build an 8* x 12’ utility building
approximately 10’ from shoreline in Pt. of G.L. 1, Section 10, Eagle Lake Township.
Motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by June Ryan and carried, to tab!e for
lack of information.
Dave Kaldahl, Detroit Lakes, MN, requested permission to construct second story on
lobby building at Fair Hills Resort on Minnie Barry Addition to ICilarney Beach,
Dunn Township.Upon the request of Kaldahl, motion was made by Tom Stringer,
seconded by John Everts and carried, to table until the June meeting.
Jerry Leaf, Pelican Rapids, MN, re-appeared from the April meeting, with a request
to build closer to the lake than the required 200' on Dead Lake in Sections' 16 & 17
of Dead Lake Township. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter,to
grant permission to build at 170' from lake, a 30' variance from the 200' set Ijack
requtement on the location of Site B as designated on the description forwarded by
the Anderson Land Survey Company, hardship being the terrain of the land. The mo
tion was seconded by Tom Stringer and carried with June Ryan voting "no".
Anna Mary Kieselbach, Barnesville, MN , tabled from the April meeting, reappeared ,
in connection with a request to construct a 6' x 6' bathroom addition five feet
from property line on S.L. M, G.L. 1, Section 11, Scambler Township,
sideration, Keiselbach withdrew said application, pending re-application.

Arnold Erickson. Pelican Rapids, MN, tabled from the February meeting, requested
permission to construct garage 25' from road right-of-way, on Lots 6 & 7, Lida Shores,
Lida Township.After consideration, motion was made by Tom Stringer to grant a vari
ance of no more than 15' from the road right-of-way, on the basis of the sizie of the
lot, location of septic system ' three near property owners enjoy having structures
at least as close or closer to the road. The motion was seconded by George Walter
