the placement of Cabin 5, including deck, 65’ from the ordinary high water level and to approve the placement of Cabin 6,
including deck, 55’ from the ordinary high water level and 23’ from the side lot line as described in the variance application dated
July 12, 2012. It was noted that all of the proposed development will be an improvement to the existing development.

Bonnie Beach Resort, part of Government Lot 3 and part of Government Lot 4, Section 11 of Clitherall Township by
Clitherall Lake, requested the following: Requesting setback variance on replacement cabins at Bonnie Beach
Resort. Cabin 5 setback to lake is 65’ including deck. Cabin 6 setback to lake is 55’ including deck and side lot line
23'. The audience was polled with Jeff Stabnow speaking for the variance as requested. Ron Sugden represented the
applicant at the public hearing. A letter from Roger Specht, Clitherall Lake Association President in support of the
variance as requested was read for the record. After consideration and discussion, Michael Harris made a motion,
seconded by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, to approve the placement of Cabin 5, including deck, 65’ from the
ordinary high water level and to approve the placement of Cabin 6, including deck, 55’ from the ordinary high water
level and 23’ from the side lot line as described in the variance application dated July 12, 2012. It was noted that all of
the proposed development will be an improvement to the existing development.
Glen and Noel Brakke - Approved the application as requested with a condition. (7:54 p.m.)
Glen and Noel Brakke, part of Government Lot 5, Section 27 of Lida Township by Lake Lida, requested the following:
We would like to replace old cabin that is 27’ from lake and replace it with a little larger cabin and set it back 34' from
the lake. We would also like to put up a garage on back lot 27’ from lake and 20’ back from traveled surface of road.
Old cabin is 520 square feet and new cabin will be 728 square feet. Required setback from ordinary high water level
is 75’ and required road right-of-way setback is 20'. Loren and Tami Crist represented the applicants at the public
hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the variance as requested. After consideration
and discussion, Rick Wilson made a motion, seconded by Thomas Lee and unanimously carried, to approve the
proposed development as described in the variance application dated July 11, 2012 and as depicted on the drawings
submitted with the variance application with the condition that the variances as approved do not directly or indirectly
grant any variances for the proposed development (specifically septic system and lot line variances).
Hardship/practical difficulty is the terrain features of the applicants’ property. The proposed development will be an
improvement to the property as it currently exists.
With no further business, Randall Mann, Chairman declared the meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.

Re: Variance Request for Boimie Beach Resort
Hi Mr. Stein,
On behalf of the Clitherall Lake Association Board of Directors 1 write to express our
support for the plan to essentially rebuild the Boimie Beach Resort.
Mr. Ron Sugden attended our meeting last night and explained his plan. It looks like the
plan will be good for the lake, creating a resort where most structures will be 100’ or
more from the shoreline and creating a nice green space between the structures and the
water. In addition the plan calls for a consolidated docking area which wall allow for
more open shoreline.
We believe the minor variance requested should be granted.
