August 5th, 1993, with the following persons in attendance: Craig Anderson John Everts Cecil Fern ling Dan Oehler Berton Olson George Walter George Hausske, Land and Resource Management Kurt Mortenson, Assistant County Attorney CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman George Walter, MINUTES APPROVED-July 1st. 1993 Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the July 1st, 1993 meeting were declared approved as mailed. The following variance requests were heard: Thomas Lee - Approved Thomas Lee, Fargo, ND, requested a variance to subdivide a parcel of less than 2.5 acres from an existing 1.7 acre parcel. The parcel will be 22.81'by 210'and will be attached to Lot 6, Engstrom Beach IstAddn. The property is described as part of Government Lot 1, Section 19 of Edna Township on Big McDonald Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested with the conditions that the 22.81' by 210' parcel will be permanently attached to Lot 6, Engstrom Beach 1 st Addn.. a registered surveyor's drawing and a letter stating that there are no property line disputes will be provided at the time of recording. Timothy Nelson Sucher - Approved Timothy Nelson Sucher, Ottertail, MN, requested a variance to allow an existing 9' by 26' canopy over a camper. The canopy is 15' from the adjacent lot line and is attached to an existing 8' by 26' screened porch. The ordinance requires a 50' lot line setback for cluster developments. The property is described as Sub Lot 1 of Government Lots 3 and 4, Section 23 of Rush Lake Township on Rush Lake. Ronald Wilner represented the applicant at the hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was ma:te by Craig Anderson, seconded by Cecil Femlingandcarriedwith John Everts voting no, to approve the 9' by 26' canopy roof over the camper in its present location and to grant the variance from the required 50' lot line setback for cluster developments.
