Hans Hermanson:
On December 12, 2001 the Planning Commission passed a motion to approve your request.
Their motion is as follows:
A motion by Zimmerman, second by Lachowitzer to approve with the following conditions:
1. Land & Resource Management may request the Otter Tail County Highway Engineer
review the project (if there is a fee, it is to be paid by the Applicant) and provide
recommendations pertaining to onsite stabilization. The recommendations are to be
implemented by the Applicant. 2. The area must be restored such that there is not any
......drainage to;-the neighbors. 3. A permit(s) rtiust be obtained prior to any further work being
done.
The County Board of Commissioners has passed a motion to approve the request as
recommended by the Planning Commission.

Planning Commission Recommendations
Preliminary Plat - “Hever’s Addition to Pelican Lake’VJim Hever:
Motion by Lee, second by Mosher, and unanimously carried to approve the Preliminary Plat known
as “Heyer’s Addition to Pelican Point” consisting of 4 non-residential backlots with conditions as .
recommended by the Planning Commission. The property is described as Pt of SW% in Section 4

“Preliminary Plat - “Round Lake Beach Second Addition’VHarlan L. Nelson:
Motion by Mosher, second by Lee, and unanimously carried to approve the Preliminary Plat known
as “Round Lake Beach Second Addition” consisting of 5 non-residential backlots with conditions as

Motion by Mosher, second by Lee, and unanimously carried to approve a Conditional Use Permit
to separate 6 acres from an 11-acre tract of land as presented. The property is described as Pt SL

Conditional Use Permit - Hans Hermanson:
Motion by Lee, second by Mosher, and unanimously carried to approve a Conditional Use Permit
to improve Dolphin Trail Road, level 2 metal building sites on Lot 5, and level off a building site on
Lot 4 and a driveway with conditions as recommended by the Planning Commission. The property
is described as Lots 1-5, BIk 2 & Res Lot L, Pelican Heights Subdivision in Section 2 of Dunn
Township; Little Pelican Lake (56-761).

Motion by Lee, second by Nelson, and unanimously carried to approve the Preliminary Plat of

Conditional Use Permit - Dennis & Lori Bartunek:
Motion by Lee, second by Block, and unanimously carried to deny a Conditional Use Permit, as
recommended by the Planning Commission, to convert a house into a commercial business. The

Conditional Use Permit - Olson’s Big Pine Get-A-Wav / Phillip T. Olson:
Motion by Nelson, second by Mosher, and unanimously carried to approve a Conditional Use
Permit to remove 2 cabins and replace 1 attached garage and addition to existing lodge as

Motion: A motion by Sha, second by Trites to approve as presented. Voting: All members
in favor, except Lachowitzer.
Hans Hermanson - Approved with Conditions:
A Conditional Use Permit Application to improve Dolphin Trail Road by skimming off brush.
Level 2 metal building sites on Lot 5 and level off a building site on Lot 4 and a driveway.
Total material - 520 cubic yards. This is an After-The-Fact request. The property is
described as Lots 1 - 5 BIk 2 & Res Lot L Pelican Heights Sub Div in Section 2 of Dunn
Township: Little Pelican Lake (56-761), RD.
Hans Hermanson represented the Application.
Brad Coleman had questions regarding the project, questioning whether there is a bluff
■ 'onsite, expressing concerns regarding erosion and run-off.
Motion: A motion by Zimmerman, second by Lachowitzer to approve with the following
conditions: 1. Land & Resource Management may request the Otter Tail County Highway

A Conditional Use Permit Application: We are planning on converting the house into a Take-
n-Bake Pizza Shop and selling miscellaneous items like pop, ice cream, milk and candy and
a few gift items. The customers will pick up the pizza and take it home to bake. The Take-n-
Bake Shop will be open year round. During the summer season it will be open 7 days a
week with approximate hours of operation 10:30 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. The winter season it will
be open weekends and 2-3 days during the week, these hours would be limited based on
