Minnesota October 8,1998 Page 2 Patricia Berglund - Approved Patricia Berglund, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 35’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a small pump house (4’ by 5’ by 6’) 65’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as part of Lot 2 and all of Lot 3, Jaegers Silent Lakes Beach, West Silent Lake in Dora Township. Letters from Theora J. Carlson and Harold and Betty Miller in favor of the applicant’s request were read for the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Bert Olson and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 35’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the construction of a 4’ by 5’ by 6’ pump house 65’ from the ordinary high water level noting that the proposed structure is a part of the house, is located at the back of the dwelling away from the ordinary high water level and is out of the impact zone. Michael and Mary Radniecki - Denied Michael and Mary Radniecki, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 17’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the replacement of a mobile home with a 28’ by 54’ doublewide mobile home 83’ from the ordinary high water level (lake). The property is described as Lot 5, Block 1, Pelican Heights Subdivision, Little Pelican Lake in Dunn Township.' A letter from Bob and lone Wiltsey addressing concerns with the road was read for the record. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested as no adequate hardship had been shown and other alternatives exists that will provide the applicants with a reasonable use of their property. Marilyn Pfau - Approved Marilyn Pfau, Thousand Oaks, CA, requested the following: “Item # 1 - The proposed addition will extend approximately 6” toward the lake than the existing cottage. Item #2 - The existing cottage has a covered roof extending above the lakeside door. We would like to move this roofline to be above the •proposed location of the door which will be centered in the lakeside wall after the wall is extended as proposed in Item #1 above.” It should be noted that the closest point of construction would be approximately 32’ from the lake. The property is described as Lot 1 and part of Lot 2, Elm Grove Beach, Pelican Lake in Scambler Township. David Herzog and Vic Horne represented the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request.
