MinTiat. rtMut fM.Lt. uinn. - MINUTES OF THE MEETING - OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT June 21, 1979 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met at 7:30 P.M Thursday,• > June 21, 1979 in the Commissioner's Room of the Court House, with George Walter, Richard Portmann, Craig Anderson, Calvin Johansen and Tom Donoho present. Upon motion made by George Walter, seconded by Richard Portmann and carried, the minutes of the May 17, 1979 meeting were approved. The variance requests were as follows: Paul Wise, requested a variance for a boathouse - storage building at 30 feet from lake on Lots, 1 & 2, Block 1 of Pelican Heights Subdivision, Dunn Twp.Motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Calvin Johansen to approve if set back so that only front and roof of building will show, maximum size of building 12' x 18'.Carried. Hardship > carrying gear up and down hill because of health condition. Charles Carlton, requested a variance to build a 24' x 30’ garage 20 feet from road right-of-way and 5 feet from property line and replace present mobile home which will be 20 feet from high water mark and 15 feet from road on Lot 6, 3rd Addn. Motion was made by Calvin Johnasen, seconded by George Walterto Outlet Beach, Lida Twp. to approve variance and maintain proper setback of 7.8 feet on north and south and move garage |to east enough to allow 20 feet from road to corner of garage.Carried. Hardship - substandard lot. Necessary to accomodate buildings requested. Alvin Swenson, requested a variance to build 24' x 26' garage 8 feet from lot line and 5-6 feet from roa,d righ^-6f-way on Lot 7 and NEly ^ Lot 8 Jerry-Marg Beach, 3rd Motion by Craig Anderson, seconded by George Walter for garage at 15 feet from road and 10 feet from lot line, with Addn. on Scalp Lake, Hobart Twp. to approve variance garage doors parallel to road. Carried. Hardship - terrain of lot and trees. Ralph Moris, requested a variance to construct a 24' x 24' garage 6 feet from Motion by George Walter, seconded by Craigproperty line on Paul Lake, Edna Twp. Anderson to deny for lack of information.
