Minnesota October 9,1997 Page 5 John Donnelly - Withdrawn John Donnelly, Fargo, ND, requested a variance “to enclose approx. 4’ on one side and 9’ on the other, underneath the deck as a sunroom. These are the approx, distances that exceed the string line test between the neighbor’s property. The deck already is within the line test between the neighbor’s cabins. It’s approx. 62’ back from the lake and will not affect the neighbor’s view.” The property is described as Lot 2, Pelican Bay Shores First Addition, Fish Lake in Dunn Township. Prior to the scheduled public hearing the applicant provided notification that he was withdrawing his variance application. Paula F. Benson - Approved Paula F. Benson, Plano, TX, requested a variance of 9’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for an addition to an existing structure 66’ from the ordinary high water level. The property is described as Lots 1,2 and 3, Evander Beach, Eagle Lake in Eagle Lake Township. Richard Aasen, Contractor, represented the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Robert Schwartz and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 9’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for an addition to an existing structure 66’ from the ordinary high water level noting that the proposed addition will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing structure. Anne Eidsvold - Approved Anne Eidsvold, Alexandria, MN, requested “a 5’ by 20’ extension on the lakeside (west) of our cottage. The existing structure is now 97’ back from the high water mark so our request is for a setback of 92’. We are also requesting the construction of a 2’ by 6’ “bump out” on the north side of our cottage staying in back of the existing house wall on the lakeside. We are making this variance request for the following reasons; our cottage living room is very small and by making these two “bump out” it will add some much needed space to the width and length of our living room. It also allows us to have more space without doing major reconstruction to the cottage.” The property is described as Lot 2, Sunset Shores, Clitherall Lake in Nidaros Township. The audience was polled with Wally Senyk, a neighboring property owner, stating that the applicant’s variance request would have no negative impact on his property. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by Robert Schwartz and carried with Randall Mann and Cecil Femling voting no and with John Everts abstaining, to approve the variance as requested with the condition that, except for the existing deck, no other water - oriented accessory structure will be allow in the future SCANKED .
