PRiMTins rcftcus falls.MKL-0971-029 1 ) MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF IHE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT September 12, 1985 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjiastment met Thursday, September 12, 1985 in the Conmissioners Roan of the Otter Tail County Courthouse. Chairman Walter declared the meeting open at 7:00 p.m., v/ith the fol­ lowing members present: George Whiter, Chairman Craig Anderson John Everts Roger Marty June I^an Marcus Wiechmann all to order All present Hearing no additions or corrections to the minutes of the September 5th meeting. Chairman Walter declared same approved as mailed. The following applications for variance were considered: inutes approved Roland E. Viger, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to enlarge deck by 2' x 20' and enclose area under existing deck, on Lot 15, Cedar Park Club, Dane Prairie Township. After consideration, notion was made by John Everts to allow enclosxore of 8' x 40' under existing deck, apply­ ing the "string test", no adequate hardship shown for additional con­ struction. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and carried unani­ mously. Motion was then made by Roger Marty to allow Mr. Viger to build up to the point applying the "string test" with the addition. The motion was seconded by June Pyan and carried unanimously. oland Viger J^roved James C. After considera­ tion, motion was made by Craig Anderson to approve application as si±>- mitted, hardship being a si±)standard lot of record, not creating any further variance than \Ahat alreacy exists. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, to approve, hardship being a substan­ dard lot of record, not creating any further variance than vhat alreacty exists. The motion was seconded by John Everts and carried unanimously. Armond & Clare Pederson, Minneapolis, MN, represented by George Bauck, requested permission to replace old dry-rotted storage building located on the lakeshore, with a new low-profile storage building, on S.L. 1 & 2 of G.L. 3, Section 1, Perham Tcwnship. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts to deny request, perpetuating a substandard situation by allowing a new structure, no adequate hardship shewn. The motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechnann and carried with Craig Anderson and George Walter voting "no". Steve Henry Z^proved rmond Pederson Denied Ceylon A. Mudge, Golden Valley, MN, requested permission to divide parcel of property in G.L. 4, Section 6, Girard Township, into two parcels with 150' frontage, each with approximately 34,490 square feet. After con­ sideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson to approve on the cendition the division is equal, hardship being able to enjoy the same rights and privileges as nei^Tbors enjoy, said division of lots to be larger than others in the neighborhood, would not establish a precedence, and no further variances to be granted on property.
