Iwerks, Farmington^ MN, requested permission to construct addition to existing cabin on Lot 7, Inwood Beach Third Addition, Dunn Township, six feet from property line, same distance from lake as existing cottage, motion was made by John Everts to approve, hardship being a substanda lot of record, with the addition no closer to the west property line or the lake than the existing pre-ordinance dwelling. The motion was seconded by Craig Anderson and carried upon the following vote: All voting in favor. Robert J. Karst, Moorhead, MN, requested permission to build a storag shed within five or six feet of property line, on the E 100' of W 400 of G.L. 3, N of Highway, in Section 29, Otter Tail Township. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts to deny, no adequate hardship shown. The motion was seconded by Robert Schwartz and car­ ried upon the following vote: All voting in favor. Hau, Oakdale, MN, requested permission to sell parcels as described in a registered land survey dated August 14, 1961, by metes and bounds descriptions, approximately 60* in width, and from 140' to 175' in depth, in G.L. 1 & NW^sNE^ of Section 25, Lida Townshi After consideration, motion was made by Marcus Wiechmann to determine said property has been split by virtue.of the 1961 survey and no variance is needed. The motion was seconded by John Everts and car­ ried upon the following vote: All voting in favor. Dallas Flynn, Detroit Lakes, MN, requested permission to allow a 13' : 21* hunting shack to remain as presently located 60' from lake, in G.L. 1, Section 23, Hobart Township, on Rice Lake. After considera­ tion, motion was made by John Everts to deny, no adequate hardship shown, with other buildable sites available on the acreage involved, to allow such variance would be establishing a precedence in the area The motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechmann, with removal being ac­ complished by April 1 , 1988, and carried upon the following'vote: All voting in favor. Ralph & Mavis Roforth, Perham, MN, requested permission to split off the south 105' of the west 200' of the N 225' of Lot 3, from a 1.033 acre parcel in Section 5, Rush Lake Township on Marion Lake. After consideration, motion was made by Marcus Wiechmann to grant a var­ iance to subdivide this parcel of property of less than 25^ acres as it does meet the other requirements of a general development lake provided is has no less than 20,000 square feet and a surveyor's drawing is provided. The motion was seconded by John Everts and car­ ried upon the following vote: All voting in favor. Loretta Buchan, Ottertail , MN, requested permission to add a bay- window on lakesid of dwelling, on Lot 20 of R.O. Masters Boy's Shore, Otto Towns; p on Rush Lake. After consideration, motion was made by John Evert to approve the variance, provided it meets the "string test", no oser to lake than existing structures on either side. HAU NO VARIANCE REQUIRED DALLAS FLYNN DENIED RALPH & MAVIS ROFORTH APPROVED LORETTA BUCHAN APPROVED MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSIMENT September 5, 1985 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, Septanber 5, 1985 with the following members present: Roger Marty Craig Anderson George V/alter June P^an Marcus Wiechmann John Everts Chairman Walter opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m., and hearing no objections or corrections to the August 1st meeting, declared same approved as mailed. Ihe following applications for variance were considered: ill present :all to order Robert Hermann, Fergus Falls, MN requested permission to allow an 8' x 45' mct)ile home, and a 17' trailer canper, to remain as presently located on a parcel 231' x 714' in G.L. 10, Section 10, Friberg Township, sideration, motion was made by Roger Marty to deny, no adequate hardship . shown, allowing sixty days to rectify the problon. The motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and carried unanimously. Henry F. Iwerks, Farmington, MN, requested permission to construct a 10' x 10' storage shed 5' from shoreline and 6' from lot line, and also to con­ struct a 24' X 24' storage shed 6' from road and 6' from lot line, on Lot 7, Inwood Beach, 3rd Add'n, Dunn Township. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson to grant variance allowing construction of small shed 15' from lake, with no side lot variance. The motion seconded by Roger Marty, amending to 6' from side lot, hardship being substandard lot and terrain. The motion failed with John Everts, June F^an, Marcus Wiechmann and George Walter voting "no". Motion was then made hy John Everts to deny, no adequate hardship shown, to allow would be setting a precedent in the area as there are no similar sheds of said size in the area. The motion was seconded by Marcus Wiechmann and carried with Roger Marty voting "no". Motion was macfe by Roger Marty to reconsider. The motion was seconded by Craig Andersen but failed with Wiechmann, I^an, Everts and Walter voting "no". On the request for construction of the larger shed, motion was made by Roger ^'^arty to deny, no adequate hardship shown, Ihe motion was seconded by John Everts and carried xjnanimously. Ron J. Tobkin, Perham, PN, requested permission to convey a parcel of land 100' of shoreline by 300' depth, out of G.L. 2, Section 5, Rush Lake Township, without platting. After discussion; application was withdrawn. Orville J. Ross, Fergus Falls, MN, requested permission to build a 22' x 22' garage 43' from center of road, on Lots 3 & 4, Dursch's Silver Bay, Everts Township. After consideration, motion was made by Marcus Wiech­ mann to grant variance, hardship being terrain of land, unique to this property, construction to be no closer to the road ri^t-of-way than the neighbors to the west side, on Lots 5 & 6, substandard lot. Larry Allen Lange, Perham, MN, requested permission to sell 320' of lake frontage from a 560' lake frontage property, located in G.L. 7, Section 10, Star Lake Township . After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Roger Marty and unanimously carried, to approve, meets size requirements for a general development lake, hardship being a residual piece of land adjacent to non buildable property, property served by a township road so both lots would have access, lot being split off has a buildable site on it with no further variances needed. ete Hofland ithdrawn arry A. I do not object to his building the addition onto the south side of his cabin even though it will come within six feet of my property line,because it is the same distance as is his present cabin which was built approximately 25 years ago.
