Motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to allow the placement of only
one residential structure, on the applicant’s property, which must be located behind the existing string line with the
condition that all other requirements of the ordinance must be met and with the condition that before a site permit can
be issue the second dwelling must be removed. The purpose of the variance, which has been approved, is to allow
the placement of one residential structure, on the applicant’s property, behind the existing stringline. To accomplish
this purpose both of the existing residential structures need to be removed from the property or one of the existing
residential structures needs to be removed while the other residential structure needs to be relocated or remain behind
the string line.

Motion was made by Cecil Femling, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as
requested and to allow development no closer to the ordinary high water level than what the string line would permit.
J^was noted that adequate space in back of the string line is available to the applicant for development purposes. It
was also noted that when such a significant change in the existing situation is being proposed the new development
should be brought into or as near to compliance as possible with the ordinance.
