Explain your request:
As per the attached plan we require the 5'0" set back from the
property line to maintain the existing horse shoe driveway.
The construction drawings for the Carriage House indicates a height
dimension of 18' Ih" from grade for a Carriage House 24'0" in depth.
We need this depth to accomodate the winter storage of our pontoon
boat.

information about surrounding property, etc. APPLICIANT SHALL BE PRESENT AT THE SCHEDULED HEARING.
I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tail County.
I understand I must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additionai variances and/or permits are required
by the township for my proposed project.

All of Lot Seven (7) and that part of Lot Six (6),
Liberty Beach, described as follows: Beginning at
a point on the northerly line of Lot Six (6) that
is 19 feet easterly from the northv/est corner; thence
westerly 19 feet in the northerly line of said Lot Six
(6) to the northv/est corner thereof; thence southerly
in the westerly line of said Lot Six (6) a distance of
234 feet to the southwest corner thereof; thence
easterly in the Lake Traverse line of said Lot Six
(6) a distance of 35 feet; thence northerly in a
straight line to the point of beginning and there
terminating. Otter Tail County, Minnesota, together
with an easement for the purposes of maintaining a
garage situated at the north end of Lot Six (6) and
situated in part on property herein conveyed and
in part on that part of said Lot Six (6) not conveyed.
It is understood and agreed that the purchasers, their
heirs and assigns, may continue to maintain said garage
on its present location even though it presently
encroaches cn that part of Lot .Six (6) not conveyed.
This easement shall be construed to give the grantees
the right to come on to that part of Lot Six (6) not
conveyed so as to paint and maintain the garage building.
This easement shall continue so long as said garage
continues to be located on its present site. In the
event, however, that said garage is destroyed for any
reason, the same shall not be rebuilt on said site and
the easement shall terminate. The right to .maintain
said garage shall not constitute a right to enlarge
or otherwise remodel said garage.

OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
April 4th. 1991
The Otter Tall County Board of Adjustment met Thursday. April 4th, 1991 with the following '
persons in attendance;

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p,rn, by Chairman George Walter,
MINUTES APPROVED-MARCH
Motion was made by Victor Petterson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to
approve the minutes of the March 7th, 1991 meeting.
The following variance requests were heard;
PAUL AND VIRGINIA 6RABARKEWITZ-APPR0VED
Paul M, and Virginia M, Grabarkewitz, Sunset Bay Resort, requested permission to construct six
10 or 12 ft, by 20 or 24 ft, screened patio/decks on the west (lake) side of the six cottages at
Sunset Bay Resort and one 12 by 40 ft, screened patio/deck on the west side of the house/lodge
on the south 550' of G,L, 4. in Section 16, Dead lake Township on Dead Lake, Distance from
waters edge is approximately 125 ft. After consideration, motion was made by Victor
Petterson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve the variance request
with the following condition that no screened patio/deck be larger than 1 O' by 24' in si2e.
VERNON AND JOYCE STRONG-APPROVED
Vecnon R, and Joyce M, Strong, Riverside, CA, requested permission to construct a 18'
7 1 /2" by 24’ Carriage House 5' from the property line on Lot 7 and part of Lot 6, Liberty
Beach, Dunn Township on Pelican Lake, After consideration, motion was made by Victor
Petterson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve the variance request
as long as no running water Is connected to the Carriage House, Hardship being substandard lot
Of record ,and no precedent is being established. Victor Horne appeared and spoke in favor and on
behalf of the applicant.
