No other location vrould provide a breeze because of the location of existing building. The unique ccmbination of location of our neighbor's cottage (very close to the vrater on the vrest), their nev? double garage (directly vrest), the hill vpon vhich our cottage is located, and the nartrw lot, nakes the proposed location the most appropriate. The porch vd.ll be less than 10 feet high, at least 60% screen, contain 217 square feet, and have no heat or plumbing. It vd.ll be about 70 feet from the vrater at the top of a hill vhich is about 20 feet above the vrater line. The porch vd.ll extend approximately 4 feet to the lake from the existing cottage. The proposed deck vd.ll extend appraxiitHtely 15 feet from the front of the existing cottage towards the lake. The deck vd.ll be more than three feet off the ground on the north. Both the deck and the screen porch vd.ll be more than 10 feet avray from any lot line. The v/ariance vd.ll not change the character of the locality since it vd.ll not change access, views, or sight lines. It vd.ll enhance the neighborhood as opposed to being a detriment or hardship, (continued on attached sheet) I am enclosing a grid plan, copies of jhotos, aixl a copy of a plat. In order to properly evaluate the situation, please provide as much supplementary information as possible, such as: maps, plans, information about surrounding property, etc. APPLICANT SHALL BE PRESENT AT THE SCHEDULED HEARING. The drawing shows the size and shape of the screen porch request herein, ccnpared to the size and shape of the previously requested variance.
