Explain your request:
My request is to build a boathouse in the bank of my lakelot on Lake Lizzie,
Dunn Township, Otter Tail County, MN.
The materials used will be concrete blocks with green treated roof materials
forming a deck with similar railing. Entrance to the deck will be at ground
level on the lot side.
Footing will be at approximately 1 foot above the high water level and the
height of the structure will be 7 feet, bringing the deck to ground level at
the top of the bank. The bank at the construction site is approximately
8 feet.
I feel the structure will; not detract from the aesthetics of the lakeshore
while being very useful to me. It will be less conspicuous than a boatlift
in the water. My purpose is keep the. lakelot .as natural as possible and
yet have it serve my needs.
In order to properly evaluate the situation, please provide as much supplementary information as possible, such as: maps, plans,
information about surrounding property, etc. APPLICIANT SHALL BE PRESENT AT THE SCHEDULED HEARING.
I understand that I have applied for a variance from the requirements of the Shoreland Management Ordinance of Otter Tail County.
I understand I must contact my township in order to determine whether or not any additional variances and/or permits are required
by the township for my proposed project.
