SPECIFY VARIANCE REQUESTED
We currently have a 12 X 48 trailer home with an addition. We wish to remove the trailer home and addition
and build a 36 X 30 cabin with a basement. We wish to include a walkout from the basement. As shown in
sketch, we would build the new cabin so that it is setback on the line between our neighbors on each side.
Our variance request is to include a deck over the walk out on the lake side that woud extend 10 feet beyond the
line between our neighbors. The edge of that deck would be approximately the same as the edge of the current
addition.
This proposal would allow us to have the walkout from the basement at the most advantageous position.
I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE APPLIED FOR A VARIANCE FROM THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SHORELAND
MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE/SUBDIVISION CONTROLS ORDINANCE OF OTTER TAIL COUNTY.
I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT OTHER PERMITS MAY BE REQUIRED, IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO
CONTACT LAND & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT REGARDING THIS MATTER.
