The parameters in the attached table have been reviewed and considered in arriving at the preliminary determination stated below. Social Effects1. a. Aesthetic Values - If the. lakeside home is built, it would be an intru­ sion on a natural setting. b. Historical and Archaeological Values As required by our regulations this public notice has been sent to the Advisory Council on Historic Preserva­ tion, the National Park Service, the State Historic Preservation Officer and the State Archaeologist. The latest version of the National Register of His­ toric Places has been consulted and no properties listed on or eligible for inclusion on the Register are located in the project area. Presently unknown archaeological, scientific, prehistoric, or historical data may be lost or destroyed by the work to be accomplished under the requested permit.i :2.Economic Effects It has been determined that the proposed action would have a minor beneficial impact upon property values.i i 3.Natural Resource Effects Existing Vegetation and Wetlands - Less than an acre of type 3 wetland would be covered by construction of a road to provide access to lakeshore upland where a prospective lakeside home would be built. 4.Alternatives to the Proposed Action denial of the permit, there appearOther than the no action alternative, i.e to be no reasonable alternatives to the proposed action.• > ■i 5. Determination Our preliminary review indicates that the probable impacts of the proposed action are minor in nature and v.’ill not significantly affect the quality of the human environment.
