Minnesota291.306 • Victor Lundeen Co . W!2on Terrance Anderson requested to vacate a cart road on his property. The road was vacated by the Dunn Township, but they did not complete this correctly. According to Ross Herseth who is a supervisor of Dunn Township, the township will be rescinding the request. The lot is marked and it appears that the Anderson's are preparing their lot for a septic system that would be on this road. We do not currently have any permits pulled for this parcel. 17000270342000. Mr. Herseth is concerned that the permit will be granted over the road. Ross Herseth’s number is 612-239-5945 August 13,1998 Page 8 United Sportsman - Approved United Sportsman Club, Inver Grove Heights, MN, requested a variance “to replace existing trailer and reduce size of overall structure without pursuing a conditional use permit.” The property is described as Lots 3, 4 and the North Half of the Northeast Quarter, Section 27 of Dead Lake Township by Dead Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested subject to the deck not exceeding 3’ in height. It was noted that the proposal would place the structure a greater distance from the ordinary high water level than the existing structure. Gabor Kerekes - Tabled Gabor Kerekes, Perham, MN, requested a variance to subdivide a 2.8-acre tract from an existing 36- acre parcel without platting. The property is described as the South Half of the North Half of the Northwest Quarter, Section 6 of Otto Township by the Otter Tail River. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to table the applicant’s requested until the September 10, 1998 Board of Adjustment meeting to allow the applicant an opportunity to determine if a building site exist on the proposed parcel that would not require any variances. Anderson - Approved Terrence Anderson, Moorhead, MN, requested a variance “to leave the existing drain field which is about 3’ into the easement cart way.” The property is described as Sub Lot 2 of Government Lot 1, Section 27 of Dunn Township by Lake Franklin. The audience was polled with Wayne Erickson, Richard Peterson and others speaking against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Randall Mann, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested noting that the Board of Adjustment would have approve the request had it been presented before the system was installed. Hardship is a substandard lot of record. Clarification - Glenn and Yvonne Rogness Qn August 6, 1998 the Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment took the following action: Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Rod Boyer and unanimously carried, to deny the variance as requested noting that the applicants’ basic proposal is very good, but this type of development should be referred to the Planning Commission for their consideration and approval. It should be noted that the Board of Adjustment did not view the 143’ width of the lake lots as a problem. At that time the Board did not know that Glenn and Yvonne Rogness could not submit an application to the Planning Commission unless they had a variance for a width of less than 150’. After discussion and consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 7’ from the required 150’ lot width for the purpose of platting four lake lot having only 143’ of width subject to the review and approval of the total proposed plat by the Planning Commission. ■pPf 55 “frC^trrrrI I niI■i_.I u.bi" I :[:l:HGRj'[ffef|&W^sKETCWN(fFbSII' '^ca/ei~fEach~gric ;_feet;^niches::lequa f j_L r-rprnj.rhthhii:!_!_!.! .1 :L !._.!I.
