Q July 15, 2016 Land and Resource Management 540 Fir Ave. W Fergus Falls, MN 56537 Dear Ottertail County Land and Resource Managers, Thank you for receiving and considering this applicatiqn for a building permit. I am respectfully hopeful you will be able to approve these plans, and I am open to your recommendations and suggestions to'expedite the building of my home. I was recently offered and accepted the position of Hospice Chaplain for the Lakes area, with Hospice of the Red River Valley, and I will begin work in your area on July 25*^' 2016. Until my home is built I will need to commute, which limits the time I have for people who have asked to see me as an important, sacred part of their end of life care. My grandpa and grandma, Vic and Lillian Mattson, built and added on to the lake cabin on Pelican Lake in the 1930's and 40's, and I remember spending idyllic summers with them,;learning to swim and fish and bake. The location of the cabin has been a place of peace my whole life, but the cabin is not a year round home and is currently not.livable. I look forward to being able to build a year- round home on its location/and continue to offer hospitality as a place of peace for rny family and friends and neighbors who visit. My sister, Anna Gunderson, owns the land, and she arid her husband, Richard Gunderson, have agreed to build the home.with me. May God bless you in ypuf< decisions, and all the work you do for the County. Respectfully, V ■T::> Rev.
