The addition to the existing garage will be no closer to the side lot line or to the lake than the existing garage and dwelling. Also, there will be approximately a 23' separation between the buildings on the applicant's lot and the adjacent lot. The 2 acre parcel will be attached to the purchaser's property. The remaining parcel would be approximately 4 acres and have a lot width of approximately 200', The required width of a back lot on a recreational development lake is 300', Requested a variance of approximately 100' from the required 300' back lot width. L’ % MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE OTTER TAIL COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT June 3rd, 1993 The Otter Tail County Board of Adjustment met Thursday, June 3rd, 1993, with the following persons in attendance: Craig Anderson John Everts Cecil Femling Dan Oehler Berton Olson George Walter Kyle Westergard, Land and Resource Management Wal ly Senyk, County Attorney CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m, by Chairman George Walter. MINUTES APPROVED-May 6th, 1993 Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the May 6th, 1993 meeting were declared approved as mailed. The following variance requests were heard; Noel L, Schroeder - Denied Noel L. Schroeder, Foley, MN, requested a variance to exceed the string line by 39" for the construction of a 36’ by 26’ house, a 30’ by 30’ garage and a 10' by 10’ screen porch. The granting of this variance will allow the applicant to have 10’ between the lift station and the structure. The property is described as Lot 7, Block 3 of Echo Ranch Riviera 5th Addition, Otter Tail Lake in Otter Tail Township. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John Everts, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to deny this variance as no adequate hardship had been shown. Dale Haakenson - Approved/Denied Dale Haakenson, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 11 ’ from the required road right-of-way setback of 20'; a variance of 8' from the side lot line setback of 10' and a variance of 8' from the required 10’ drain field setback for the construction of a 32’ by 24’ garage. Also, requested a variance of 4' from the required side lot line setback of 10’ for an 8’ addition to the south side of an existing garage located 6' from the east lot line. The property is described as part of Government Lot 6, Section 21 of Hobart Township on Rose Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by Craig Anderson, seconded by John Everts and unanimously carried, to deny the variance of 11 ’ from the required road right-of-way setback of 20’; to deny the variance of 8’ from the side lot line setback of 10' and to deny the variance of 8' from the required 10’ drain field setback for the construction of the proposed 32’ by 24’ garage. Our records also indicate that this office did not inspect this installation prior to the sewage system being covered. Since this is the case, personnel from this office conducted an onsite inspection of the aforementioned property, this inspection revealed that the sewage system was located in compliance with the provisions of SP #3989 It also revealed that there was no evidence of surface discharge of effluent. Therefore, this sewage system installation is hereby approved for use. Should this sewage system ever malfunction (fail), it would have to be repaired or replaced in conformance with the provisions of the Sanitation Code in effect at the time of failure....
