2. Owner is legally responsible for all surface water drainage that may occur.
3. No fill shall enter or be taken from the beds of a public water without a valid permit from the State of Minnesota Depart
ment of Natural Resources.
4. If the terms of this permit are violated the entire permit may be revoked and the owner may be subject to legal prosecu-

Dear Mr. Cushman:
This is in reply to your letter of March 2ii.th,
No permits are necessary for sodding or clearing out trees.
Special use permits are required for any grading, filling or
excavating in shoreland use area. However, as long as you
are only filling 3 to inches, no permit will be, required,
but be sure that no dirt gets into the public water.
Enlcosed find a copy of the Shoreland Management ordinance.
