Bresson Dear Mr. Lee: I have reviewed the file regarding the above and the Otter Tail County Shoreland Management Ordinance as it would be applicable to a boathouse. In reading the ordinance, the side yard setbacks are not varied for boathouses, provides for a variance for the shoreland setback only. Side yard setback for boathouses must be 201 of the lot width or 20 feet, whichever is the least. I note in the file that there is an application for variance. This application should be processed and a determination made as to whether or not it should be accepted or rejected by the Planning Commission prior to the initiation of any action by our office.
