Meeting of the Otter Tail County Planning Commission was held on September 7,
1983 at 7:30 P.M. in the Government Services Building, 505 South Court Street,
Fergus Falls, Minnesota 56537.
Members present were: Portmann, Trites, Sullivan, Lachowitzer, Ryan, Jacobson,
Schwartz, Lee, and Petterson. David Hauser also present.
Passed:A motion by Petterson, second by Schwartz to approve the minutes of
the August 3, 1983 meeting as mailed.
Voting: All members in favor.
Passed:A motion by Trites, second by Jacobson to approve the special use
application of Cliff Ukkelberg, dated July 26, 1983 and the pre
liminary plat plans of First Addition to Ukkelberg Beach on W. Battle
lake. No. 56-239, GD, Sec. 33 of Girard Twp., Part of G.L. 5.
Approved with a cul-de-sac on east end. Jim Trites from the Girard
town board was present.
Voting: All members in favor.
Passed:A motion by Lachowitzer, second by Trites to approve the special use
application of Jim Vavricka, dated August 2, 1983 on Long lake. No.
56-388, GD, Sec. 29 of Hobart Twp.,Lot 5, Blk 1, Freedom Flyers Estates,
allow a maximum cut of 2 feet on top of the ice ridge so that at least
1 foot above land side of ice ridge would remain over an area 100 feet
long. 25 feet on either end of lot would be taperd to match neighbors.
Voting: All members in favor.
Passed:A motion by Portmann, second by Schwartz to approve the special use
application of Allen Jensen, dated July 28, 1983 on Otter Tail Lake
No. 56-242, GD, Sec. 8 of Otter Tail Twp., Lot 4 and W. 35 feet of
Lot 3, Blk 1, Echo Ranch Riviera 1st. Addn
inches of fill with gradual tapering towards neighbor's lot lines
providing no water runoff onto the neighbors and no fill closer than
50 feet to lake. This work must be stabilized (grass or sod) to
prevent runoff in spring.

application of Iver Evavold, dated August 8, 1983 on Eagle Lake No.
56-253, GD, Sec. 11 of Eagle Lake Twp., Lot 32 Okeson Beach. Restore
lot to the original terrain, that a maximum 1 foot of fill b§ placed
in low area and the depression in center of the ice ridge be filled
in so that an intact ice ridge is established, also, no water drainage
to neighboring lots will be allowed. Kenneth Tollerson represented.
