Gary Pramhus, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 10’ from the required 20‘ road right-of-way
setback for the construction of a garage. The property is described as Lot 6 and the East 37.5 of
Lot 7. Cha Roda Beach, Pelican Lake in Scambler Township. The audience was polled with no one
speaking for or against this request. After consideration, motion was made by Victor Petterson,
seconded by Cecil B. Femling and unanimously carried, to approved a 10' variance from the
required 20' setback and permit construction of the garage 1 O' from the road right-of-way.
Hanishlp being the terrain and topography of this lot.

Timothy J. Bothun, Montevideo, MN, requested a variance of 1' for the construction of a new
home with attached garage from the required 20' road right-of-way setback. Garage would be
setback 19'. The property Is described as Lot 7, Evander Beach, Eagle Lake In Eagle Lake
Township. A letter from George and Carol Shackleton in favor of this variance request was read
for the record, The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against this request. After
consideration, motion was made by Dan Oehler, seconded by John Everts and unanimously
carried, to approve a 1' variance from the required 20' road right-of-way setback. Hardship
being a substandard lot of record.

AMBROSE C. NOWACKI - APPROVED
.fAmbrose C. Nowacki, Detroit Lakes, MN, requested permission to remove two existing garages
and a storage shed and to construct a new garage 26' by 40'. The east side of the new garage will
be ?'7" from the side lot line, instead of therojuired 10' and2'6' from the rear lot line.
Instead of the required 20'. Also, requesting permission to construct 3 olditions to the existing
house The additions to the house will not be any closer to the high water mark than the
southernmost portion of the home as it currently exists. The addition to the northeast side of the
house requires a variance from the side lot line of 1' 3", The addition will be 8'9" from the side
lot line and the requirement is 10' The property is described as E1 /2 of Lot 5 and all of Lot 6
and W1/2 of Lot 7. First Addition to Pelican Lake Park, Pelican Lake in Dunn Township.
Comments received from Jeanette Gjesdahl were stated for the record. The audience was polled
with no one speaking for or against this request. After consideration, motion was made by John
Everts, seconded by Dan Oehler and unanimously carried, to approve all variance requests as
the'/ pertain to the additions to the house A r 3" variance would be granted to allow the addition
on the southeast side of the house to have a side lot line setback of 8' 9" instead of the required
setback of 1 O', Hardship being a substandard lot of record and the acute angles of the side lot
lines in relation to the house None of the additions to the house will be any closer to the lake
than the existing structure. After additional consideration, motion was made by Victor
Petterson, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve construction of the
26' by dO' garage 6' from the property line due to the closeness of the neighbor's garage and car
port with the condition that the three buildings listed in the application for removal be removed.
