Motion was made by John Everts, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried, to approve the
request as submitted with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided and noting that
no significant net change or impact to the immediate area will resulted from the granting of the variance as
requested. It was also noted that parcel C still has adequate area and frontage to meet the requirements of a
platted lot on a general development lake.

Patricia L. Martineau - Approved
Patricia L. Martineau, Champlin, MN, requested the following: 1) “add a trussed roof over existing flat
roof of mobile home to prevent further water damage. Non-Living Space, 2) Screen in 8’ by 14’ in
front of home over existing deck." Per office the existing mobile home is approximately 85’ from
ordinary high water level. The trussed roof and screened deck will be at this setback. The property is
described as Lot 5, Block 1, Hackberry Point, Dead Lake in Dead Lake Township. The audience was
polled with no one speaking for or against the request. After consideration, motion was made by John
Everts, seconded by Cecil Femling and unanimously carried, to approve the variance as requested
noting that the proposed enclosure will be no closer to the ordinary high water level than the existing
structure. Hardship is a, pre-existing structure on a substandard lot of record.
Randy Moore - Approved/Denied
Randy Moore, Fargo, ND, requested a variance of 4’ 6” from the required road right-of-way setback of
20’ and a variance of 5’ from the required side Jot line setback of 10’ for the placement of a car port 15’
6” from the road hglitrof-way and 5’:from the side-lot line. The property is described as Lot 6, Klien &
Adam’s Beach, Little Marion Lake in Dead Lake Township. The applicant’s contractor represented the
applicant at the public-hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the
request. After consideration, motion was made by George Walter, seconded by Randalt Mann and
unanimously carried, to approve a variance of 4’ 6” from the required road right-of-way setback of 20’
for the placement of a car port 15’ 6” from the road right-of-way and to deny the side lot line variance as
requested. Hardship is a substandard lot of record.
Donald Boom - Approved
Donald Boom, Wheaton, MN, requested the following: “taking 100’ of frontage off of parcel C adding it
to parcel A to line up or square off with road and lake lots across the road.” The property is described
as part of Government Lot 4 and part of the SWVi of the SE%, Section 11 of Eagle Lake Township by
Eagle Lake. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the request. It was noted
that a phone call had been received on April 22, 1998 from a Mr. Lorentz objecting to the applicant’s
request based on a lack of iriformation concerning the reason for the request. After consideration,
motion was made by John Everts, seconded by George Walter and unanimously carried; to approve
the request as submitted with the condition that a registered surveyor’s drawing must be provided and
noting that no significant net change or impact to the immediate area will resulted from the granting of,
the variance as requested. It was also noted that parcel C still has adequate area and frontage to meet,
