Vincent and Patricia Schaefer, part of Government Lot 4, Section 11 of Eagle Lake Township by Eagle Lake,
requested a variance of 24’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 75’ for the placement of a dwelling

The audience was polled with John Bemis speaking for the variance as requested. After consideration and
discussion, Paul Larson made a motion to approve the variance as requested. The motion died for lack of a second.
After additional discussion, Randall Mann made a motion, second by Steve Schierer and carried with Paul Larson and
Michael Conlon voting norto^eny the variance as requested as there is no adequate hardship unique to the property

Stacy L and Martha J Hart, Lot 1 Freeman’s Beach First Addition and Lots 4 and 5 Freeman’s Beach, Dead
Lake in Dead Lake Township, requested a variance of 129’ from the required ordinary high water level
setback of 200’ for thejplacement of a 24’ by 24’ addition 7T from the ordinary high water level and a
variance of 141 ’ from the required ordinary, high water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a 12’ by
24' screen porch addition 59’ from the ordinary high water level. Rick Bladow, Contractor, appeared with
the applicant at the public hearing. The audience was polled with no one speaking for or against the
variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Joe Maske made a motion, second by Michael
Conlon and carried with Paul Larson voting no, to approve a variance of 129’ from the required ordinary
high water level setback of 200’ for the placement of a 24’ by 24’ addition, as depicted on the applicants’
drawing, 7T from the ordinary high water level and a variance of 141’ from the required ordinary high water
level setback of 200’ for the placement of a 12’ by 24’ scrWn porch addition, as depicted on the applicants’
drawing, 59’ from the ordinary high water,level with the condition that the existing 13’ by 12’ screen shed>;
currently located 48’ from the ordinary high water level must be removed.
Ted and Sara Hagen - Approved the variance request as modified with conditions. (8:36 p.m.)
Ted and Sara Hagen, part of lot 30 and all of Lot 31, Block 1 Crystal Beach, West McDonald Lake in Dora
Township, requested a variance of 25’ from the required ordinary high water level setback of 100’ for the ■
construction of a new residence 75’ from the ordinary high water level. The placement of the new structure
in this location will allow the existing sewer septic drain field to be reused. The audience was polled with
Leonard Walton speaking for the variance as requested. After consideration and discussion, Michael
Conlon made a motion, second by Randall Mann and unanimously carried, to approve the proposed
development being no closer to the ordinary high water level than what is permitted when establishing the
general building line from the existing trailer house on Lot 29 to the existing deck on Lot 32 as depicted in
blue and circled in yellow on the drawing dated September 13, 2005 with the condition that no more than
25% of the total lot area can be covered with impervious surfaces and with the condition that an existing
garage must be removed. The applicant noted that the plan is to remove all existing structure. The
variance as approved does not directly or indirectly grant any other variances for the proposed
development.
